New Pokémon video scheduled to air during Super Bowl LX on February 8th

Official Pokémon social media has posted a short video of a Jigglypuff in an empty lounge, along with an announcement that a special video is scheduled to air during Super Bowl LX on February 8th. This is expected to tie into announcements this month as the series celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Given that an advertising slot during the Super Bowl costs millions of dollars — a 30 second ad this year is reported to cost $10,000,000 USD — it's clear that Nintendo and the Pokémon Company are going all in on the publicity. The Big Game is scheduled for 3:30pm Pacific Standard Time, and will see the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots. It will air on NBC in the United States, as well as various streaming services. Note that stations outside of the United States may replace the ads with their own. The video will likely be made available for general viewing online shortly after the game.
