Now that the 4th generation of Pokemon has been released, we won't be seeing any new pokemon for at least a year.
That aside, what new pokemon would you like to see for the 5th generation? Me?, I'd like to see a cheetah pokemon, that can change types( options, electric, dark, physchic, and maybe fire).
I'd love to see way more fire Pokemon, and a 3rd stage Pokemon ( a Pokemon so far has only hand one of three stages, baby basic, first, or second). I'll post more of my thoughts later.

(on this thread, only talk about actual Pokemon, not the region, etc)

More fire types! There is a horrible lack of fire types in this gen. I want to see fire/water, fire/dragon, fire/everything, and an evolution of houndoom. Arcainine and ninetails should also get evolutions.

I love chatot, but it's so weak, it needs another evolution.

We also need a dragon besides seadra that isn't x4 weak to ice, better poison types, and better bug types.

I agree! More dragon types!!

I also want to see more domestic dog pokemon.

I want to see eevee evolutions of every type. That would be awesome.

You know, Game Freak told us we'd be seeing more outrageous and different type cominbations, but iirc, the best ones we got were Electric/Ghost and Steel/Fighting.

Linsoy, there are already a couple of Dragon Pokemon that aren't 4x weak to Ice, and Seadra isn't a Dragon-type, Kingdra is.

Like what? Altaria = x4 garchomp = x4 dragonite = x4 salamence = x4 flygon = x4

Dragon-types that don't have 4x weakness to Ice are Dratini, Dragonair, Bagon, Shelgon, Kingdra (who doesn't have a weakness to Ice at all), Latios, Latias, Dialga (who doesn't have a weakness to Ice at all), Palkia (who doesn't have a weakness to Ice at all), Giratina, and Dragon Plate Arceus.

The thing is, they're almost all either ubers or not fully evolved. There aren't too many people that would use Bagon competitively.

I personally would like to see more dragon combos (dragon/bug, dragon/ice, dragon/fire specifically), a fighting/flying type, more fire types, and more dual-type electrics (why wasn't Luxray electric/dark?!). Pachirisu needs to evolve. I think an electric/ground tanky ground squirrel thing would be cool, mostly because that combo doesn't exist yet and we need more tanky electric types. Chimecho and Farfetch'd also need an evolution. Chimecho's could be psychic/ghost (You find them on the ghost mountain and Chingling only evolve at night iirc). Farfetch'd's evolution could be a duck samurai. Still normal/flying, I guess.

There also needs to be a dolphin Pokemon. Kyogre kind of is (orcas are dolphins) but I mean more of a typical dolphin. Though, a river dolphin would be cool. Botos are some of my favorite animals. There also needs to be a seaweed Pokemon. It could go along with Wingull and Tentacool as the common surfing Pokemon. Anything to vary the Pokemon you find while surfing.

A lot of the Pokemon I wanted before DP now exist. A normal special sweeper, an electric squirrel, Yanma, Lickitung, Murkrow, and Gligar evolutions...

Those pokemon are totally unusable.

They have gorebyss, that's a dolphin.

You're right about the electrics, they're mostly single type with bad defense. The electric type has so much more potential than is being used, any electronic appliance can be made into an electric/steel pokemon. So far all we've got is magnezone. Before the steel type existed I made up a pokemon that looked like a radar dish, and it learned all the beam attacks. I called it an electric/ground type, but now I think it's more of a steel type. Also, as far as the steel type goes, it's mostly just regular pokemon with armor instead of actual steel pokemon. It would be cool if they made a car pokemon or something.

There should be a better electric/water than lanturn.

Gorebyss actually isn't a dolphin, it's some type of deep-sea fish. Possibly a rattail or a snipe eel.

A car Pokemon would be kind of neat, if they pulled it off right. Not like in the movie Cars... I like Lanturn, but we need an offensive electric/water too. I'm suprised they didn't make an electric eel yet, it's well known and perfect for basing a Pokemon off of.

A car Pokemon
...you say.

True, I can't believe there were so few Fires. And I actually had an idea on the Houndoom evo last week. It was that it could be similar to the Mythical Beast, Cerebrus.
...you say.

Rofl, I love that description. It made me laugh.

I think for Fire types, They could make pokemon based off animals in a place like Africa, and since it's so hot there, You would presume fire pokemon live there.
Like a lion, wilderbeast Cheetah zebras, etc. In the next gen. we need at least 10 new fire types, not 5.

I think they do need some more fire, dragon and maybe even some more electric pokemon. And some dark pokemon. I think they should make glass type pokemon. Just a thought. They need some more deer pokemon. they need a dolphin pokemon. A some lizard pokemon too, i think charmander is a lizard pokemon right? How about a crocodile pokemon? that would be cool. And a panda pokemon. How about a magit pokemon. lol

I Panda pokemon would be cool, not like Spinda, actual black and white one.
Crocodile Pokemon? The Totodile line we have, but more would be nice.

The rattail looks like Huntail and the Snipe Eel looks like Gorebyss
no lie!
