I was looking around and found out that a new set of tins (Spring 2010 to be exact) are going to be released on February 24, 2010.

The promos for this tins have alternate artwork of Feraligatr (Prime), Meganium (Prime), and Typhlosion (Prime).

In addition, as all tins do, four HeartGold and SoulSilver booster packs will be included.

It has been a while since I last purchased any Pokemon merchandise so I was wondering if the tin will be readily available to purchase on February 24th or does it usually take a couple of days for places to stock?

No, they should be available in most retailers on February 24th. Ugh... I fucking hate tins. D: They drive down the value of the pack Primes that now come in tins. If I were you, I'd advise you to purchase either the Typhlosion or Feraligatr tin.

you hate tins? I guess it makes selling harder, but for things like garchomp C level X, Mewtwo Level X, or Regigigas Level X, it's nice to just buy a tin instead of having to trade heavy to get the card.

(ps, do you have any info on the prizes?)

I was planning on getting the Typhlosion tin as it is one of my top Pokemon, I just wish it was level X though. I'm just getting back into the Trading Card Game as I have some cards still saved up from back in 1999, which I have no idea if they are still legal.

This one is a bit late as it was released on February 10, 2010. There is a new HeartGold and SoulSilver Poster pack that was released on the 10th.

It looks like the two promos are Ho-Oh and Lugia.

The Poster Pack will include one of the promos, two HeartGold and SoulSilver booster packs, two POP Series 9 packs, a double-sided poster with cards from the HeartGold and SoulSilver set on one side and Pokemon art with Ho-Oh and Lugia on the other.

A new English set has been revealed! It will be called HS Unleashed expansion (as in HeartGold and SoulSilver, just the first letter of each) and is planned to be released on May 12, 2010.

What is supposed to be included in the pack is going to be Three Pokemon LEGEND cards, Six Prime cards, a deck with a Tyranitar and Steelix theme, and the total cards coming out to over 90+.

The pre-release is thought to be in the first week of May as it is going to be released the following week. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Well, "Unleashed" would technically be released on the 19th due to the release pattern:

DP: May 23, 2007
MD: May 21, 2008 (It was a leap year)
RR: May 20, 2009
UL: May 12, 2010
