Does anyone else think that Meowth almost being captured by Iris will be a new running gag? I personally hope it will be, and then eventually she will succeed.
 
Running Gag? Yes. Eventually captured? No.

Meowth does not want to be captured and by the off chance he does get captured, all he needs to do is come out of the Pokeball and break it.

If Meowth comes out of the Pokeball, he'll be near it, then he can destroy it. So yes, it could be a running gag, although I think it might not be. Iris did it prematurely and this one was an accident. Unless she gets even more capture happy in the upcoming episodes, I don't think it will be a running gag.
 
I can see it going either way; the writers have certainly been messing with us throughout BW, so Iris catching Nyasu doesn't seem too far-fetched at this point. xD

If not, then I can see her throwing a Pokéball at him once each episode for the remainder of the time that he's with them (though she certainly would be wasting them).
 
When does she first attempt to capture him? I missed a few episodes and I need to go and catch up. I hope she doesn't, he's happy with Jessie and James. Unless they break up at the end of BW.

So this is the new running gag? BW seems to be switching gags rather frequently. I wonder if that's on purpose of if they just can't decide on one...

look about you at what? and he's not? I was confused because I watch them as they come out in America. I don't watch them as they come out in Japan. I over slept a few weeks and missed episodes. I thought it happened in an episode i missed, not in a future episode.

Ten years of an anime repeating the same crap over and over ad nauseam has led to people being shocked when there's more than one joke in the series. Hah.
 
It's not happened in the last episode. So, probably not. But we could see an evolved version of this gag, in the next one...
 
I doubt the gag will continue for very much longer. We'll probably get some form of new one in a later episode.
