Tyranitar
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 164 HP / 252 Atk / 92 Spe
Item: Choice Band
~ Pursuit
~ Stone Edge
~ Crunch
~ Aqua Tail
His job is obviously to set up a sandstorm. He also makes a great anti-lead for Focus Sash pokemon.
Scizor
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Item: Choice Band
~ Bullet Punch
~ Pursuit
~ Superpower
~ U-turn
Standard CB Scizor.
Lucario
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Item: Choice Specs
~ Aura Sphere
~ HP Ice
~ Shadow Ball
~ Vacuum Wave
First special sweeper. May surprise some folks, because special Lucario is not as common as physical or mixed. Even though his SpA is higher... Whatever.
Gliscor
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe
Item: Leftovers
~ Earthquake
~ Roost
~ Stealth Rock
~ Taunt
A defensive Gliscor. This exists because CB Scizor is so damn common. Also gains accuracy hax with sand veil.
Magnezone
Nature: Naive
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Item: Leftovers
~ Thunderbolt
~ HP Fire
~ Explosion
~ Substitute
Standard steel trapper.
Empoleon
Nature: Modest
EVs: 12 HP / 12 Def / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Item: Petaya Berry
~ Agility
~ Grass Knot
~ Substitute
~ Surf
Other special sweeper. The strategy is obvious, agility on the switch, then sub 3 times to activate Torrent and Petaya Berry.
Overall this team has seen pretty good success on Shoddy. There are a few weaknesses though. Gyarados with DD and Taunt is a problem. Ludicolo is also a problem when it's raining. Another big one is substitute users, particularly sub punchers. To counter them, should t-tar be switched with Hippowdon? That would still allow Sandstorm to be set up, and ther would also be a viable phazer for sub users.
