New springtime merchandise inspired by Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon coming soon to Pokémon Centers in Japan

The Pokémon Company is debuting a new collection of merchandise drawing inspiration from a blooming field of flowers in spring. The collection stars Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon, especially Lurantis, Roserade, and Sunflora, and features plushes, homegoods, apparel, and more. This new floral collection will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on March 21st, and to the Pokémon Center Online on March 19th.

The collection starts with a selection of plushes, including Roserade, Comfey, Fomantis, and Lurantis as scented plush keychains for ¥1,980 ($12.43 USD) each. Hoppip is also available as a plush keychain with spinning leaves on top for the same price. Flabébé also has all five of its color forms available as plush keychains, each for ¥990 ($6.22 USD). Finally, an extra large cushion of Sunflora will be available for ¥5,500 ($34.53 USD).

Home goods for this collection starts with a flowerpot for ¥3,960 ($24.86 USD), canvas art of Pokémon in a blooming field for ¥2,420 ($15.19 USD), and a mug with the Hoppip evolution line for ¥3,300 ($20.72 USD). Three different sizes of floral dishes are available, the small retailing for ¥1,430 ($8.98 USD), the medium for ¥2,200 ($13.81 USD), and the large for ¥2,750 ($17.27 USD). Two hand towels, one featuring the flower field art and one featuring Pikachu, each retail for ¥660 ($4.14 USD).

Plenty of floral apparel and accessories will also be available, starting with a sheer allover-print shirt for ¥4,950 ($31.08 USD), and a Lurantis lounge set for ¥9,900 ($62.16 USD). Both items are one-size-fits-all for adults. A large Boston bag featuring Venusaur will retail for ¥4,950 ($31.08 USD), and a Maractus hair clip retails for ¥2,420 ($15.19 USD). The earrings in this collection come both for pierced ears and as clip-ons, with the Sunflora earrings retailing for ¥990 ($6.22 USD) and the Roserade earrings for ¥1,540 ($9.67 USD).

This collection is fairly large as Pokémon Center drops go, finishing out with a bit of stationery. A set of stickers retails for ¥660 ($4.14 USD), a set of two file folders for ¥550 ($3.45 USD), a pop-up card for ¥990 ($6.22 USD), a message board for ¥1,870 ($11.74 USD), and a letter set for ¥770 ($4.83 USD). Finally, a lanyard and card case will be available for ¥1,980 ($12.43 USD), a souvenir tin of cookies will be ¥1,650 ($10.36 USD), and a variety of acrylic keychains will be ¥715 ($4.49 USD) each.

No part of this collection is scheduled to be available via Amazon Japan.

 

I read “Grass-type merch line” and thought this would be the perfect time to give Wo-Chien and Iron Leaves their first plushies (even though I knew it wouldn’t happen) but it is a merch line dedicated to spring so it would be weird if the plant-wilting snail and robotic Virizion were celebrated here (plus at the very least Leaves should probably wait until Boulder and Crown get their first plushies. Those two probably work better as plushies than Leaves does anyway. Wo-Chien doesn’t necessarily have to wait for Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu given Chien-Pao didn’t wait for any of them but the three of them might as well get theirs at the same time as each other anyway. Ting-Lu would also make a great plushie). They’re probably just scared away by all the Bug-types
