New starter types?

I'd feel sad.
I really like that starter combination. Anything else would just feel weird.

I believe there a thread discussing starters.

Anyways, the only trio I think would work other than fire/water/grass would be psychic/bug/poison

I simply like how well the "elemental" types of Grass, Fire, and Water work together. So I would hate to see it change.

I would be kind of bummed if the starters weren't grass, fire and water. I really don't think that is going to change, though. It's something that is expected and has always worked for the Pokémon games, and that is one thing that, in my opinion, is going to stay the same.

The problem is that you need to have a triangle

Maybe Flying/Fighting/Rock
Grass/Ground/Poison
Steel/Rock/Fire
Dark/Psychic/Fighting

So...there's a few possibilities (maybe there's more)

They will stay with the original triangle. people kept saying DPPt would use dark/psychic/fighting but they didn't. Electric/water/ground could work but it wont happen.

Wow. You just KNOW for a fact huh? Must be nice, having clairvoyance.

There's a difference between "Highly unlikely" and "I know for a fact that it's not going to happen"

I doubt there'll be a new triangle. I just hope they throw in some better secondry types... If there's another fire/fight I'll scream. I mean, they could balance any weaknesses with benefits like high speed, amazing moveset, shitloads of HP, etc.
