Wow...the Burmy ep, Turtwig ep, and the Vespiquen ep are three consecutive episodes in plot. The guys are looking for the sweet honey hiden in the Eterna Forest and at last they find the clue that leads them to the Castle of Amber.

Well, it's not really a multipart episode - those usually have the same screenwriter (脚本) for all episodes.

DP28

On their way to Eterna City, Ash & co drop in at a village where a PM Centre is managed and run by Nurse Joy and her family. Nurse Joy's two daughters, the elder Sayaka and the younger Mai, are staying together in the PM Centre. One day, Mai takes Ash to a cave in the forest where a secret friend of her and her sister lives.

DP29

Ash and co. are interviewed by a reporter named Yuuka from a TV station. In order to help the programme group draw materials from them, Ash and Dawn challenge a pair of twin brothers, a combi with 16 successive wins already, for a tag battle. Will Ash and Dawn be able to compete with the twins‘ strongest combination?

PS: Quilava will make an appearance.

DP30

Ash and co finally arrive at Eterna Forest, where they meet a woman named Momi/Cheryl and her Chansey. She's here to search for the 'terribly sweet honey', which is only available deep in the forest, in order to catch a Burmy.

PS: Burmy & Mothim will debut.

DP31

Ash and co lost their way in the woods while looking for the 'terribly sweet honey'. A boyish and lively lady appears then and asks for a 2 VS 2 battle.

PS: It's been confirmed that this yound lady is the Eterna Gym Leader, Natane/Gardenia.

DP32

Making use of the hint to find the 'terribly sweet honey', Ash and co try to get into the deepest area of the forest. On the way they find a big waterfall within which the entrance of a cave is hiden. What is waiting for them deep inside the cave?

If he wins will she give him a badge? I think she should. Wouldn't that be amusing? Ash battles her and wins, then shows up at the gym later.

Natane: Hey, your that kid who beat me in the forest. You were coming for a gym battle? well, since you won before, here's the badge

Ash:....uh...ok, now what do we do for the rest of the episode?

But I bet he'll end up losing.

Nice to see the return of plot and recurring characters. I don't think there's been anything like Cheryl's character in the anime since Snap/Todd. Fantastic way to show off about half a dozen game mechanics/features at the same time too.
 
Having Cheryl, Gardenia and possibly even Marley (who is Mai...) in upcoming weeks is quite exciting indeed....

I wonder what this "Amber Palace" in the Vespiquen episode is. Of course, since Combee is a favorite, its likely debut there makes it worthwhile already.
 
I'm curious about the cave thing, what a waits them in the cave? I'm curious. But the episode sound neat.
 
The cave probably just contains Vespiquen and the "terribly sweet honey" they spend three episodes looking for.

I'm also guessing the "secret friend" of DP28 is Suicune.
 
I doubt that Mai is the Mai from game.

But Momi indeed is.

I never expected to see characters like her in anime. I hope that Miru, Gen, Mai and Baku will appear, too. And other characters from game. What about Shirona? Or even Mizuki (which is not likely to appear, since they missed Hoenn Sisters and raped Masaki's role).

Momi is Cheryl, Miru is Mira, Gen is Riley, Mai is Marley and Baku is Buck, if you forgot their Japanese names (I used Japanese names).

If you still don't know who their are, they are characters from game who accompany you in location they appear in (for example Momi accompanies you in Hakutai Forest)
 
If Cheryl is around for all three episodes, I hope we get these arcs for all the characters you travel alongside.

On another note, Cheryl is also the girl who gives you the Happiny egg. The writers really have no reason not to have Brock hatch his. Though these are the same people who did a time travel episode two episodes after an episode focussed on Celebi...
 
Unlikely that we'll see all of them. Riley is definitely out since he's pretty much just Aaron.
 
Anyone find it amusing that the anime focuses on relatively minor game characters such as these but then they leave out important ones like Team Galaxy? At this point its pretty obvious they're not in the 10th movie either.

The D/P rival from the games and D/P boy will probably never appear either.
