New supermarket-themed merchandise and new line of mini plushes coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan

The Pokémon Company has announced their latest merchandise collection, Pika Pika Mart, which imagines what a supermarket in the world of Pokémon might look like. The collection includes plushes, accessories, and stationery designed to look like brand packaging for the fictional items at Pika Pika Mart. The Pokémon Company is also announcing a new lineup of mini plushes designed to fit in the palm of the hand. Both these new collections will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan beginning December 6th, and at the Pokémon Center online on December 4th.

The new supermarket merch starts with some plushes, including Pikachu dressed as an employee with an apron and bandana for ¥2,420 ($15.49 USD). A plush keychain features Pikachu with a little reusable shopping bag, which comes in a full-size reusable shopping bag, for ¥3,300 ($21.13 USD). Other accessories include a Pika Pika Mart apron for ¥2,970 ($19.01 USD) and a Pika Pika Mart basket for ¥1,760 ($11.27 USD). A collection of zipper pouches are designed to look like branded supermarket items, and include Solosis gummies for ¥1,100 ($7.04 USD), Skitty hot cocoa for ¥1,320 ($8.45 USD), Rotom in its Wash form as laundry detergent for ¥2,200 ($14.08 USD), Alcremie cake mix for ¥2,200 ($14.08 USD), Arboliva olive oil for ¥2,200 ($14.08 USD), Fidough and Combee pastries for ¥2,200 ($14.08 USD), Machoke protein powder for ¥2,200 ($14.08 USD), and Vanillite ice cream for ¥1,320 ($8.45 USD).

There are more items in this collection designed to look like other products, starting with a toothbrush and pouch set, with the pouch designed to look like Bruxish toothpaste, for ¥2,420 ($15.49 USD). A different style of laundry detergent featuring Marill and Azumarill is ¥1,100 ($7.04 USD), and a Psyduck container will be ¥880 ($5.63 USD). Acrylic keychains featuring all the Pika Pika Mart products will be available in mystery bags for ¥770 ($4.93 USD) each. A rubber Pika Pika Mart magnet will be ¥880 ($5.63 USD), and hand towels of the Machoke, Rotom, and Alcremie products will be ¥660 ($4.23 USD) each.

Finally, the collection rounds out with some stationery, including a set of Pika Pika Mart stickers for ¥660 ($4.23 USD) and a set of double-sided highlighters for ¥1,430 ($9.15 USD). Two different spiral notebooks will be ¥770 ($4.93 USD) each, a set of three file folders will be ¥825 ($5.28 USD), and a set of mini sticky notes will retail for ¥990 ($6.34 USD).

As for the new plush line, called “Fluffy Palm Mascots,” ten new mini plushes will debut in the fluffy, pastel style. Jumpluff, Swablu, Sentret, Pikachu, Eevee, Snorlax, Ditto, Togepi, and Slowpoke will each retail for ¥770 ($4.93 USD). Tandemaus, being a bit of a 2-for-1 plush, will retail for ¥1,540 ($9.86 USD).

No part of either of these collections is scheduled to become available via Amazon Japan.
