In bit of a pickle here. This really doesn't qualify as a RMT yet since i have no final product so I guess this is kind of like a extensive Complete My Team. Anyway, trying to come up with a team that needs to have Sceptile in it. I mean mandatory. Been sketching out some rough drafts, my initial idea was,

Mamoswine
Snorlax
Magnezone
Keldeo
Charizard (MegaX)
Sceptile

It has a few (potential lot actually, pretty horrible) of weak spots here and there that i didnt like on Showdown. Anyway im trying to construct something with Sceptile, a Mega and one OU legendary. Although we have some banned Megas and whatnot, im trying to ignore it for now because of the different setting I plan on using this team in. Although Blaziken is banned completely, no question >.>

Why Sceptile? Because he's my favorite Pokemon. And ive grown fear of using him with these rampaging Talonflames and endless amount of threats to him. But no more. He must rise again. Here's his intended but subject to change set.

Sceptile @ Life Orb
Overgrow
Hasty Nature 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
- Leaf Storm
- Leaf Blade
- Pursuit
- Rock Slide

While I do have the Unburden Sceptile, im finding it hard to work with him, and this set appeals to me the most actually for saving him for the proper opening. His speed speaks for itself, besting almost everything except priority, his worst nightmare. Ive had the joy of calling him in on a weakened Pokemon to slam Pursuit for the kill, luring out a Flying-type (not Talonflame, im switching him right out) and nailing them with a Rock Slide. While Earthquake seems like a better choice, I like the chance to hit Flying as well as Fire types, and maybe if im lucky, something who's 4x weak to Rocks. Leaf Blade is his obvious strong physical STAB and Sceptile has the ability to set off a STAB Leaf Storm, doing insane damage while staying in with his physical offense instead of switching out if he was pure Special Attack.

If I find or someone helps in suggesting a better set, maybe even with Unburden, ill give it a shot. My only two ideas were Focus Sash (crossed off first) and White Herb w/ Leaf Storm.

Now for potential teammates, im simply gonna abbreviate their set/role. Movesets ill save for last since im more worried about synergy with Sceptile, type matchups, etc at the moment. As I said, im trying to make use of only one OU legend and one Mega (except Blaziken).

Keldeo (CM Setup)
Magnezone (Scarf Revenge/Talonflame killer)
Lucario (SAtk Mega)
Krookodile (Moxie Life Orb)
Mamoswine/Skarmory (Some form of SR Entry Hazard, in order of preference)
Latias (CM Setup, in place of Keldeo)
Talonflame (Bulk Up set)
Gyarados (DD Mega)
Gengar/Aegislash/Chandelure (Spinblocker)

These are just a few potentials I had although I dont know how to work it out. If you havent noticed, I play very offensively for the most part but that doesnt mean im not subject to change. I like to mess around with some utility and walls here and there sometimes but as I said, I need help in deciding who can go where. So this thread is open to all suggestions and whatever help i can get.

Honestly I would run Unburden over Overgrow any day considering the large amount of Pokemon running Knock Off. To combat Talonflame and CharY I would say go for Aerodactyl or Scarf Terrakion. Both outspeed Talonflame and CharY and would force them both to switch or remain in and take a Stone Edge/Rock Slide.

Yay another Sceptile fan, I have a set for you, also running unburden

Sceptile @Red card (to get rid of set up pokes, also activates ability
Unburden
252 Spd and Spatk, 6 def
+ Spd -Atk nature
Leaf Storm
Dragon Breath
Focus Blast
Agility/Detect
I'd recommend adding a Rock type pokemon with rock slide to add a counter to talonflame.

Its upsetting that Stealth Rock is transfer-only for the both of those options. I really wouldve loved to have the speedy Aerodactyl set up Taunt/Rocks and have some offensive presence at the same time. Terrakion is also a good option but unfortunately I dont have a good one and the last time I hunted down a legendary for nature and IVs, it took too long.

Ill look into that Sceptile set although Dragonbreath seems a bit shaky. Without a Life Orb, i dont think itll do enough damage to mean anything. And Sceptile is probably faster then almost anything already, regardless of paralysis. I like to have him hit hard and fast without having to take a hit hopefully, hence the SR importance. If his HP type isnt good, ill look into it or Giga Drain. And Detect will definitely triumph over Agility, this sucker is fast enough.

I would use

Sceptile @ White Herb
Unburden
Mild/Lonely
252 Atk/252 SpA/4 Spe
~Leaf Storm
~Drain Punch/Focus Blast
~HP Fire/HP Ice/Rock Slide/Acrobatics
~Earthquake

Didnt even know Acrobatics was a TM, ill have to search for that. The item loss is gonna work wonders with that. Ill probably go with

-Leaf Storm
-Focus Blast (for lack of transfer moves)
-Acrobatics
-Earthquake

The problem with my first White Herb set was that Sceptile is either frail enough to die before it kicks in or priority users can run amok and ruin his intended assault. Either way, I do suppose ill have to play more carefully to work him in. Ill probably go with Lonely to get more out of the boosted Acrobatics and hard-hitting Earthquake, seeing as how Leaf Storm and Focus Blast are nukes of their own. After one Leaf Storm, itll be good to have some 252+ Atk to go with on people.

Hello everyone. I may be new at Team Building here. This is my first time of building the team of battling pokemon. I most likely need help of this. I was planning of building the well-balanced team that will cover up their strengths and weaknesses.

Blaziken @ Blazikenite
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Speed Boost (in both forms)
EVs: 64 HP/ 252 Atk/192 Speed
IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
-Protect
-Flare Blitz
-High Jump Kick
-Hone Claws/Sword Dance
Note: Originally, the EV spread that I've planned is Max atk,and speed and having 4 HP. According to Cloneblazer12 from Serebii, he said that Mega set is the best one after I said words that makes him proud. Source: Cloneblazer21's post. Since he's a nice guy,and everyone agrees with him, I decided to run this set for the coolest pokemon of all time. I could have him to relearn Sword Dance again but. If I running HJK, I decided to use Hone Claws so it will be easier to land a hit without missing it. Sure Sword Dance, and HJK combo are powerful and all but I'm not taking any chances of missing it. I playing it safe. However, I don't mind using Sword Dance over Hone Claws once again if I needed to.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Marvel Scale
Evs: 248 HP/ 252 Def/ 8 Sp.Atk
Ivs : 31/x/31/31/31/31
-Scald
-Recover
-Toxic
-Dragon Tail
Note: I decided to stick with Scald instead of Surf in case it facing the steel and poison-types. That way it will have the chance of giving the poison and steel types a burn.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Nature: Impish
Ability: Poison Heal
Evs: 252 HP/ 20 Atk/ 232 Def
Ivs 31/31/31/x/31/31
-Protect
-Toxic
-Knock Off
-Earthquake
Edit: They told me that Ice Fang is no good. Even against Dragon-types. They say that Knock Off give it more advantage against the opponent who holds the item.

As for the other members, I'm not sure. I was thinking of having a Rapid Spinner like Excadrill to help me rid of the hazards. Gardevoir, the second sweeper, and Celebi as a healer to the team. Or I can add Gengar to the team since it happened to be a sweeper and the trapper in it Mega form.

Excadrill @ Air Balloon/Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Mold Breaker
Evs: 252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Speed
IVs: 31/31/31/x/31/31
-Rapid Spin
-Earthquake
-Sword Dance
-Rock Slide/Shadow Claw
Note: I found this out from Smogon. And Cloneblazer told me to run the other set.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
Evs: 252 HP/ 238 Sp.Def/ 20 Speed
Ivs: x/31/x/31/31/x
-Thunder Wave
-Grass Knot/Psychic (since it can't learn Giga Drain at this moment)
-Leech Seed
-Heal Bell

Gardevoir @ Life Orb/Garedvoirnite
Nature : Timid
Ability :Trace
Evs: 252 Sp.Atk/ 4 Sp.Def/ 252 Speed
Ivs: 31/x/31/31/31/31
-Psychic
-Moonblast
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt/Focus Blast

In fact, I was thinking of building the All-Star Hoenn Team that it will have Blaziken,Milotic,Gardevoir,Salamance,Sceptile, and one of the Hoenn pokemon. I could have Skarmory to set up the trap to weaken the opposing team and to prevent them from using sturdy ability and Focus Sash users over Gliscor. Anyway, what do you think? If there's anything wrong, let me know because I want to know the right synergy.

Extra Pokemon that I'm planning

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sturdy
Ev: 252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 Sp. Def
-Spikes/Stealth Rock
-Roost
-Brave Bird
-Whirlwind/Roar
Note: Don't have it yet.

Gengar @ Black Sludge/Gengarite
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate/ Shadow Tag(Mega)
Evs: 4 HP/ 252 Sp.Atk/252 Speed
Ivs: 31/x/31/31/31/31
-Shadow Ball
-Sludge Bomb
-Focus Blast/Thunderbolt/
-Substitute/Destiny Bond

Sceptile @ White Herb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Sp.Atk/ 252 Speed
Ivs: 31/x/31/31/31/31
-Leaf Storm
-Energy Ball
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power (Dark)

I also got a Protean Greninja, and a Ferrothorn with the Egg Moves such as Leech Seed,Spikes, and Stealth Rock.

I'd suggest deleting this comment and posting it in your own RMT. This thread is a RMT for CloudStrife, so unless you have advice for a team as he asked, your RMT is in the wrong place. I'd be happy to help once it's in the right place, as I'm sure most will be. Thanks.

All right. I'm sorry.

Well with Sceptile out of the way now, ive been thinking to really use Aerodactyl, even his Mega form actually. I was also still thinking of Keldeo who could cover the Rock/Ice/Steel /Water weakness. Although now I was thinking about a useful Dark-type like Krookodile who can sponge some Electric attacks while also rendering Psychic attacks useless to Keldeo. Entry hazards is something I feel I really need but after calculations, Stealth Rock isnt proving to be enough to nail OHKOs on common threats for Sceptile so would a U-Turn/Volt Switch teammate be a good idea?

I assume you mean something along the line of a Rotom-H / Mienshao combo?

Yeah that VoltTurn core type thing. Except instead of Mienshao, something else with strong U-Turns like Ambipom because I don't wanna share that Flying-type weakness with the potential Keldeo or Sceptile.

Mienshao is actually one of the better U-Turn users. LO Fake Out + U-Turn plus Regenerator is a great set up. Also has Stone Edge to knock out CharY and Drain Punch to heal off damage.
