hi all, this is a theory team, nearly compleated game and going to construct this team after (for in game and facing friends/wifi)

umbreon @ ??
evs ??
- mean look
- baton pass
- substitute (can i get 101 subs with umby?)
-??

my lead, mean look their lead and baton pass out to a suitable counter. (alternativly was thinking BP nijask)

gyarados @ leftovers
evs ??
-aqua tail (or waterfall??)
-earthquake
- dragon dance
- taunt

physical sweeper, pretty standard i spose?

gardivoir @ choice scarf
trace
evs ???
-psychic
-thunderbolt
-(grass knot?)
-??

special sweeper, choice scarf to make it (in my opinion) like a slighty weeker, more defensive eaqually speedy alakazam (or should i just use alakazam?)

blissey @ leftyovers
natural cure
evs ???
-softboiled
-thunder wave
-seismic toss
-???

special wall, standard?

steelix @ left overs
evs ????
-earthquake
-rock throw
-roar
-??

physical wall and pseudo-hazer, any ideas?

bannete @ ??
ev ??
-shadow ball
-??
-??
-w-o-w

never used ione of these, but i like the look of it, also helps with the weakness to fighting on blissey and umbreon, any ideas??

anyway theres my team, im open to all sugfgestions, what would you do with this? im not up with the meta game, would this pass the current threat list? please help!

Changes in bold - I'm not really good with EVs, so no help there, sorry.

You're probably going to want to give Umbreon Leftovers as an item, and replace Substitute with Wish. I don't know about the value of the subs, though. For the last slot, you could try Toxic to spread status - just look out for pokemon with the Guts ability. Also, go for a Careful nature.

gyarados @ leftovers
evs ??
-aqua tail (or waterfall??)
-earthquake
- dragon dance
- taunt

physical sweeper, pretty standard i spose?

Definitely go with waterfall over Aqua Tail - more base power and the possibility of a flinch. Give it Stone Edge or Ice Fang over Earthquake, too, and an Adamant nature.

gardivoir @ choice scarf
trace
evs ???
-psychic
-thunderbolt
-(grass knot?)

It's your preference as to which pokemon to use - just remember that there' a reason Alakazam is in OU and Gardevoir is in UU. Also, they serve different roles: Gardevoir's main specialty is as a support or status pokemon, while Alakazam is more of the all-out attacking type. However, that doesn't mean Gardevoir can't go that route. Try a Modest nature with Psychic, Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, and Hidden Power (Ice, if you can get it).

blissey @ leftyovers
natural cure
evs ???
-softboiled
-thunder wave
-seismic toss
-???

special wall, standard?

Pretty much. Never really used Blissey myself. Go for a Bold nature and put a status move of your choice in the last slot.

steelix @ left overs
evs ????
-earthquake
-rock throw
-roar
-??

physical wall and pseudo-hazer, any ideas?

You've got Umbreon really as your wall, what do you need Steelix to do any walling for? Replace Rock Throw with Stone Edge and put Stealth Rock in the last slot for some team support, and run an Impish or Relaxed nature.

bannete @ ??
ev ??
-shadow ball
-??
-??
-w-o-w

never used ione of these, but i like the look of it, also helps with the weakness to fighting on blissey and umbreon, any ideas??

First off, replace Shadow Ball with Shadow Claw - not all ghost moves are physical anymore, and Banette has a higher physical attack stat than special. For the two remaining slots, put Knock Off in one and either Destiny Bond OR (very important or, there) Thunder Wave in the other. Also go with an Adamant nature, and give it a Focus Sash or Leftovers for an item.

please fill out the ? with actual moves and items

The question marks mean that he doesn't know what to put in those slots, Deadpool. That's not a crime, I hope.

Gardevoir's not in UU, and Waterfall isn't more powerful than Aqua Tail .-.

Isn't Gardevoir? My mistake. And I could have sworn Waterfall was more powerful than Aqua Tail...though with the added chance of flinch, I'd still choose Waterfall.

umm for bannete in the 2 empty slots i think hypnosis and dreameater would be good moves. for umbreon you should have a dark type atk in that empty slot. for steelix metal sound or screech would be a good move in that open space. i'm not a big fan of blissy so i don't know about that one. i don't think the moves thunderbolt and grass knot are good on gardivoir. i think the moves pokemon know should match their type and if you decide to deviate from that make the move that you teach the pokemon a stat changer move and not an atk but what do i know? i've only been playing pokemon since it came out. (sarcasm) (sarcasm) but you know its not my call because its not my team. i'm just giving some friendly advice. the other pokemon look ok but you should make some seious changes to gardivoir if you want to it to survive in a link battle or wifi battle ore whatever.

If someone listens to this advice I'm going to grab a knife and pull a Szayzel :l

...Seriously you never want to use Sleep move/Dream Eater on Pokemon, Metal Sound on Steelix is.. wut, and having only STAB moves on Gardevoir? NO. JUST NO. :/

ok?

Sorry, I'm not good with rating OU based teams. I just really needed to say that. <_<

I don't mean to cause drama on this thread, I just needed to get that off my chest.

you should really be quiet and stop flaming. he came up with an ok team and if you think it sucks then come up witha team of ur own and we will see who sucks more lol chump.

Ignore Penguin

He was trying to get himself banned

not the most sound method i would try

And your advice on the STAB on Gardevoir, Metal Sound on Steelix, and the Dream eater stuff is the most assinine advice ever

hey thanks for the advice from (almost) all of you, its a big help

and sinistermister, although i appreciate your input, even though i havent played competitively for years, i still no that advice was no good!

im thinking of droping bannette for dusknoir, if im going to go OU, i might as well go all out OU no?

as for having steelix AND umbreon, i want steelix to be my main physical tank with umbreon more of a mixed maybe.

anyway, any ideas on EVs guys and gals?

and would a dusknoir better suit my team over bannete

Seriously? Its always good to have at least one attack on a pokemon. or Toxic. Toxic is always nice
my lead, mean look their lead and baton pass out to a suitable counter. (alternativly was thinking BP nijask)

gyarados @ leftovers
evs ??
-waterfall
-earthquake/Stone Edge
- dragon dance
- taunt/ Ice fang
I recommend Ice fang, but thats just an opinion. It covers the Zapdos Weakness. Stone Edge coversBug Flying and Ice, but Ice is pretty rare typing.

physical sweeper, pretty standard i spose?

gardivoir @ Leftovers
trace
evs ???
-psychic
-thunderbolt
-calm mind
-Shadow Ball
Gardevoir has a beautiful special attack and special defense. Why not use that to your advantage? Set up against something that cant KO you, then sweep

blissey @ leftyovers
natural cure
evs
-wish
-flame-thrower
-toxic
-soft-boiled

Theres a reason everyone uses this set, and thats because it works. only steel types resist poison, and thats what flame-thrower is for

steelix @ left overs
evs ????

-Curse
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
-Explosion

the Curse set is much better. Theres not much you can do that will lower his speed more, so use Curse to boost attack and Def, while lowering speed, boosting the effectiveness of Gyroball. Explode if neccesary

Rotom @ Choice Specs
EVs:
-Thunderbolt
-Trick
-Shadow Ball
-Signal Beam

just a suggestion, but this set is much better than Banette. First turn you either trick the Specs onto a physical attacker or you sweep. If hit it a wall you cant break, switch out
suggestions in bold

I've always loved a Blissey with Counter. Since most special moves do virtually nothing against her, physical moves are just about all you're going to see. With Blissey's high HP and low Defense, Counter pretty much OHKOs most physical attackers (as long as Blissey survives the first hit, of course). Then use Softboiled, Leftovers, etc. to recover.

That set can be risky, but it has great pay-off.

Blissey is boring, and she sets a bad example for kids by being fat. NEVER USE IT!

Obviously, I'm kidding.
