New teaser trailer released for “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu” — Premieres worldwide on Disney+ in 2027

A new trailer for the upcoming stop-motion animated series “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu”, created as a collaboration between Pokémon and British studio Aardman Animation, was showcased at Pokémon XP, a major fan event held alongside the 2026 Pokémon World Championships. During a special “Behind the Scenes with Aardman — ‘Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu’” panel, fans were treated to a brand new teaser trailer and offered thrilling insights and updates about the highly anticipated project, including brand-new production insights, behind-the-scenes imagery, puppet demonstrations and a closer look at how Aardman’s award-winning craft is bringing this new take on the Pokémon world to life.

It was also announced that Disney+ will be the exclusive worldwide streaming home for the show. The platform recently welcomed “Pokémon the Series: The Beginning” for the first time, bringing Ash and Pikachu’s classic original adventures to audiences old and new. Additional details revealed today also include behind-the-scenes looks at characters, puppets, sets and production in progress, along with Pokémon and location reveals, including Obstagoon and the Crown Tundra area from Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

Join our unlikely heroes, Sirfetch’d and Pichu, in their gallant quest to protect Pokémon across Galar! While their missions might rarely go as planned, their noble deeds forge their friendship as they step bravely into the unknown.
