Some TV magazines revealed new titles, and were posted on PokéAni:

AG 189 (465): First Pokémon! Final Battle!!
Title in kana: 最初のポケモン!最後の戦い!!
Airdate: 08/24/06

AG 190 (466): Deciding Match! VS Regice!!
Title in kana: 決戦!VSレジアイス!!
Airdate: 08/31/06

There's a bit of confusion over at PokéAni though. Apparently, one magazine says that an episode called "Ash VS May! The Last Battle!!" is set to air on the 31th, whereas a different (probably more reliable) one writes that the Regice battle will take place that day. PokéAni left the 'Ash VS May' title out and only submitted the other two, so that's what I'm going to do as well. So better ignore the third title for now.

Normally I'd wait until things are cleared up, but chances are that we'll be left in the dark about this until the new NewType issue comes out in August, so I decided to post them anyway.

And yes, I think the Final/Last Battle crap is annoying too ;P

The first one seems to indicate Pikachu, and that this is his final battle, although I believe they have had many episodes like that before.

It could hardly be Pikachu's last battle if Ash is fighting Regice the next episode.

So it's either a mislead or in reference to something or someone else.

Not that it wont stop people leaping up and down saying "Proof that Ash/May etc is going!".

Le Sigh.

Final battle this final battle that. We went through this with May and we never got an answer. Let's not do that again, shall we? Anyway, people saw the Regice a mile away and it seems like this is indeed the one where he finally wins the final Frontier symbol. I thought that the third pyramid ep was close at hand.

I think the last Kanto GF was sopose to be May VS Drew and the final battle, that what it was. I think it is posible that May could leave the show, but it could be the last battle of the Battle Fronter for both of them befor going on to the next region, D/P most likely...

It sounds like a two-parter to me. They'd never cram Ash winning his final symbol into just one episode. It could be that he loses to Regice and the final battle will come in later episodes, but I don't think there's enough time left until September to pull that off.

That title could be misleading, like Pikachu's Goodbye (whatever it was called in the Japanese version).

Forest of Pikachu.

Interestingly, that episode was not part of the Pokémon Encore lineup - it was omitted, together with the infamous Porygon episode.

I suspect that episode was created only after the incident, since it didn't exist in the broadcast schedule before then.

There aren't. After the Regice episode, there's a grand total of three Thursdays before Sept. 18th.

In other words there may only be three unknown Battle Frontier episodes left before D/P comes out....so I'm guessing Ash beats Regice.

I also assume that first title is about the pyramid, maybe battling the other Regi's again before Regice.

Unless they double, or even triple up, one day. Like a season (possibly) series finale.

I don't see what the problem is. Assuming the first title is about the Pyramid, that means this is a 2-parter.

That's plenty of time to take down all three (?) Regi's and beat Brandon once and for all.

After that we have three unknown episodes left, one of them is probably going to be a Pallet Town episode, so they have two episodes to do whatever Scott rewards Ash with for beating the Brains.

Not to mention we need a gimmick for whatever Ash does next, assuming there is a next, which I think there will be. They aren't that far from Pallet Town if I remember the ep summaries correctly, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to go back there in 3 eps or less.

Ash returns to Oak's lab in the "May/Drew Rivals forever" episode. That means the Pyramid is pretty close to Pallet. Not that it matters anyway, Ash can get back to Pallet in a heartbeat if the writers want him too.

That's true, we were plunked back in Pallet at the end of Johto. It is certainly enough time to get a gimmick in anyway, if there is one.

Let's take a trip back in time with the magic of Dogasu's site, shall we?

082) "Pokemon RIIGU! Saigo no Tatakai!"

(Pokemon League! The Final Battle!)

114) "FAINIARU BATORU! Kairyuu Toujou!"

(Final Battle! Kairyuu Enters!)

276) "Pikachuu to no Wakare...!"

(The Parting with Pikachu...!)

"Goodbye Rocket-Dan by a Distrubed Scratch"

"Kasumi's Earnest Struggle! She's Risking Her Life!?"

"Pikachu's Entering the Rocket-Dan!?"

"The End of the Fierce Fighting! The Road to the Championship!"

GASP! Their has been TWO FINAL BATTLES!

That does make sense as Viridian City is very close to Mt. Silver. If you work back from Max's comment about watching his vdeos of the Silver Cnference for the past week then there is about a day of unseen travel. Walking from Evergrande City to Viridian and Pallet in a day, however...

Anyway, I'm with the people who just see this as the end of Battle Frontier.
