Music New TRio song in the making!

wait wait wait wait....WHATTTT?!?!?
they usually introduce new trio song in new gen anime, so this could mean that in 2016 we will get a new gen. that's probbly why we haven't got any news from "pokemon z" or whatever
 
I saw this too. I really hope this is a new Team Rocket song.
 
It could be the next ending, or a bonus song to be released on the next CD. I hope it's the latter, because we've yet to have an XY ending focused on the human twerps, and a TR ending wouldn't feel well in an arc where I don't expect them to appear in many episodes.
 
Yes, it is a Team Rocket song. Mima promised it a few months ago actually, but no one wanted to get their hopes up for that since it was just kind of a wishful thinking on his side. But now I think it's safe to assume it will be realized. Also, it looks like Tomohisa Sako is taking part in production of the song.

It's not the only TRio project Mima wants to do, so I guess we can hope for more. I'm not sure what the song is for myself, but maybe he will use the song for promoting the 2nd season of the TR radio show, hopefully (it was weird enough they didn't record any new song during 1st season, except for that little RDYEN chorus version project)? He's been promising 2nd season every few months for like 2 years arleady, so I wouldn't hold my breath yet. Anyway, I'm just happy it's finally getting done, as Rockets hasn't gotten any new song in almost 15 years. Daaaamn...
 
Yay!! :D Maemuki Rocket-Dan is my favorite image song for the trio and I'm excited to see if this tops it! Tomohisa Sako seems to be taking over the anime music production from Hirokazu Tanaka. He must really be a fan of this franchise.

I know Mima's been pushing big time for the radio show... Is there any evidence (other than this news :p) that this may actually restart?

Does anyone have any idea of the timeframe from the time of recording of a song to its usability? I know the mixing and finishing of the track itself can be sped through within a few days... I know it's crazy to even imagine it would be used as an ED but we haven't yet had any details for the XYZ ending so... :p I can dream right?

No real evidence at the moment. Mr. Masafumi's been bringing it up on his Twitter every now and then but every attempt seems to be getting shot down. He's not giving up, though!

I have no idea but the fact that the song went from proposal (he talks about wanting to do it back on August 8th) to actually recording it (September 26th) in such a short amount of time means that probably won't be long now. The hard part's over.

But, like you said, the fact that we don't have any info about an XY&Z ending yet gives us hope. It'd be nice to have an ending theme not sung by junior high school girls again.

From what I've gathered it seems to be an issue of getting financing for the show.

Maybe if the CD single for this song does well that'll help convince the powers that be to greenlight a second season???

I know that's what he said but I've always thought this reason was kind of weird, since the first season suceeded so much. You'd think making a 2nd season after the succees of the 1st one is easier? It only took him 1 year from the initial idea to make the 1st season happen. But it's been a few years now... I remember him saying he wrote this business proposal which got turned down, because budget would be too much. So I guess he was trying for another formula of the show that would require more money? He kept going on and on about wanting to make it feel unique and worthy of the TRio, so it makes sense...

I also think Mima could have been more motivated to make the first season happen. Of course I don't mean he isn't motivated now, but you know, it's not like this project feels like an urgent must anymore like it did in BW. Both fans and VAs were really dissatisfied and wanting to change things back then.

If the above is true I bet Sako took it upon himself to get it done when he heard of Mima's dream - I remember reading that he is a huge fan of the franchise.
Honestly, an ending theme sung by the Rocket VAs is like the exact opposite of one of those girl band endings :crush: I need to start curtailing my hopes..........
 
Because a day or two before Mima's tweet he posted on his Twitter that he's going to the studio the next day to finish work on the production for a "Pokemon anime song project". So yeah, it was easy to put the two together.

He's also talked in the past about how difficult it was putting on the show. The show originally only had a thirteen-episode order and when they (the radio station, I guess?) offered to extend the show to the end of December his initial reaction was to decline. We're lucky we got as many episodes as we got.

Mr. Mima is busy working on a ton of shows at the moment - Pocket Monsters XY, Yokai Watch, Attack on Titan, Ushio Torara, etc. - and I'm sure you've noticed by now how a lot of his tweets are made at like three in the morning. It seems like he probably pulls a lot of all-nighters? So even though he says that he wants to do a second season of the radio show he's probably hesitant to jump back into it given how time-consuming a project it'd be.

I bet the ED will be a character song too. The question is, who's gonna sing it. I wanna say TR, but it feels like it's too early for that yet? I remember someone asking Mima if the new TR song will be a new ED in autumn and he said "making a song isn't so easy". But now that the song is made... ;D

TV Tokyo doesn't say anything either... What the hell is going on... I guess they won't reveal it until the next week?

EDIT: Oh I just clicked on Tomohisa Sako's blog and it says that he wrote the lyrics for the ED too. I can't imagine him writing a TR song for some reason but who knows, maybe it would be good? For sure different than RDYEN and Maemuki Roketto Dan.
