First off, here it is:
http://license.shopro.co.jp/licensing/arc/00000027/poke.jpg (ImageShack)

This poster was probably first spotted in the video with Michi and Akane (two Japanese teens who promote the Pokémon Daisuki Club and have had TV appearances in Pokémon Sunday and their own show Pokémon Daisuki NOW) at the Pokémon Centers in Tokyo and Yokohama where they demonstrated the Swalot mini game in Platinum: http://pokemon.kids.yahoo.co.jp/platinum/library/ (currently the third video in the list). The poster could be seen behind the two girls while they were standing in Pokémon Center Yokohama.

And then yesterday the poster was spotted on this site: http://license.shopro.co.jp/licensing/view/licdetail.php?cid=27

This probably relates to the rumors of a series title change to "Diamond & Pearl & Platinum" or whatever it was. Seemingly, this will not happen as the logo in that poster is still the same, but who knows ...? They probably wouldn't put up a poster that leaked a title change if they plan to not reveal this in the near future.

I don't really know how old the poster is since it apparently is already on the walls in the Pokémon Centers without causing any attention. But we don't know since when the poster actually is in the Pokémon Centers.

Anyway, I do wonder what the golden thing in that purple/black portal thing is. It kinda resembles the Torn World in Platinum's Sinnoh.

Looking at the poster, they really need to evolve the starters. We're almost 100 episodes in DP already, Turtwig and Chimchar should have evolved at least once by now.

Nice to see Croagunk there, I really like it how they're trying to make it a major mascot. It and Piplup will probably stay in the forms they're in the whole series.

A quick search yields an older version of the page dating back to October 14, which showed the exact same poster. See for yourself.

If there had to any foreshadowing at all, then it was the addition of Chimchar to the team. It obviously has nothing to do with Platinum or a rumored title change. It is also worth noting that the references to the Mt. Coronet storyline have also been misleading so far.

The poster itself isn't that interesting, but what caught my interest instead was that the Swalot minigame seems to use Apricorn-like objects as the balls.

I really can't understand why people here and at Serebii believed this is a hint to anything
The logo is the same as always so it can't have anything to do with a "new series"
It looks like nothing more than a random advertisement for the current series

Since people here just confirmed that this poster existed for months (and possibly the Chimchar there is a random one like the one from the group+Pika+starters picture from TV Tokyo's DP site) we can be more than sure it doesn't hint at anything

I also began to doubt the "new series" rumour
How can it be nothing was announced until now? if the upcoming Coro Coro won't say anything about it than I at least in my opinion it was just a false rumour

There's no way to deny that that 'portal' between Dialga and Palkia (and conspicuously over Mt. Coronet) looks like the Torn World in the Platinum press. Not only that, it has the Lake Trio surrounding it, and that yellow thing coming out of it is---if you look you can see it---the puzzle box Saturn took from the Solaceon Ruins. Watch this week's dub episode and you'll see it.

Ooh, I like it. *saves*

The first thing I noticed about it was that they're in a snowy area and thought "OMG extended Whirl Island-esque northern Sinnoh arc PLZ". Then I realized it was just some clouds and a sparkling background. :P

That alone wouldn't prove anything. web.archive.org doesn't archive embedded images on websites most of the time. Many archived pages lack their images because they aren't in the archive and/or are still embedded by their original URL which in such cases doesn't work anymore. And if you had actually looked at the location of that poster on the archived website, you would see that it is the exact same URL as in the current version of the website. The image at the same URL could have been replaced anytime making it look like the archived page had the same already half a year ago or longer.
The seemingly last archived version of the image from the same URL is from Advanced Generation from August 2006:

It doesn't matter how old the poster is. It's obviously not advertising anything new.
