New Video and New Official Site

There is one new thing apparently. If you order both Diamond and Pearl (Or as the site also demonstrates, if you've gone off your rocker and want 2 Diamonds or 2 Pearls) you get the Diaruga/Parukia figures AND the third one (The starters one).

Funky.

This is like what they did for Ranger. Not only does Pokemon.com have a Ranger section, but so does Nintendo.com. Just like then, however, Nintendo's pages did not appear until close to release. They usually put up the same updates as Pokemon.com does, it's just organized differently.

Uh... they've done that for every game. The official Nintendo site always has a subsite for the latest first and second party games.

I thought so, it's just Ranger was the only example I knew of. :p

Second party? You mean the player develops games too? You must mean third party.

No.

Second party developers are companies that develop for Nintendo systems and are published by Nintendo but are autonomous companies.

Gamefreak is one of them.

^^^ It seems like less even... which is normal for the nintendo site..

hmmm... I thought Gamefreak was first, like Retro. Nintendo owns 100% of the company.

If Nintendo owned 100% of the company, it would be called Nintendo.

Also, Nintendo doesn't own 100% of Nintendo.

They don't, however, have a controlling share in Gamefreak. As far as I'm aware, it's rather likely Tajiri himself that has that.
