New Year Event Missions and Mareep Drop Event now underway in Pokémon TCG Pocket — New items plus Ditto promo card now available with Premium Pass

Pokémon TCG Pocket is ringing in the New Year 2026 with a set of special New Year Missions, and a Mareep Drop Event. Premium Pass holders are also getting their own special treat, with a new Ditto promo card, new Premium Missions, and new Mega Charizard Y themed items being added to the Premium Shop.

New Year Event Missions
This set of special event missions award players for completing a variety of simple in-game tasks. These missions will remain available to complete through to January 7th, at 9:59pm (PST).

The specific missions and their rewards are as follows:

• Log in (Day 1) - Pack Hourglass ×3
• Log in (Day 2) - Crimson Blaze booster pack ×1
• Log in (Day 3) - Pack Hourglass ×3
• Log in (Day 4) - Crimson Blaze booster pack ×1
• Log in (Day 5) - Pack Hourglass ×6
• Log in (Day 6) - Crimson Blaze booster pack ×1
• Log in (Day 7) - Pack Hourglass ×12
• Wonder pick 7 times - Mega Rising: Mega Gyarados booster pack ×1
• Participate in 7 battles - Mega Rising: Mega Altaria booster pack ×1

Mareep Drop Event
In this latest Drop Event, which runs through to January 10th at 9:59pm (PST), offering players the opportunity to challenge a series of special solo battles to obtain promo card packs and other rewards.

As with past Drop Events, on completing each event battle players will have a chance at acquiring one or more of the following chance rewards:

• Promo Pack B Series Vol. 2 ×1
• Shinedust ×25
• Shop Ticket ×1

Each Promo Pack B Series Vol. 2 contains a single card, selected at random from the following five cards from the Promo-B promotional set:

• Arcanine (Promo-B 13)
• Magikarp(Promo-B 14)
• Mareep (Promo-B 15)
• Krookodile (Promo-B 16)
• Swablu (Promo-B 17)

Arcanine, Mareep, and Krookodile are identical mechanically to the cards of the same names from the Mega Rising expansions, differing only in their card art and set number. Magikarp and Swablu meanwhile are completely original cards.

A selection of special Missions will also be available offering additional fixed rewards:

• Participate in 10 battles: Promo Card Exchange Ticket (Mareep Drop Event)
• Participate in 1 battle: Promo Pack B Series Vol. 2 ×1
• Participate in 3 battles: Promo Pack B Series Vol. 2 ×1
• Participate in 5 battles: Promo Pack B Series Vol. 2 ×1
• Participate in 10 battles: Promo Pack B Series Vol. 2 ×1
• Participate in 15 battles: Promo Pack B Series Vol. 2 ×1

As the name suggests, the Promo Card Exchange Ticket (Mareep Drop Event) can be used in the in-game shop to acquire any one Promo Card from this Drop Event, which should ensure most players are able to acquire at least one copy of every single card. Please note that these missions do not require the player to actually participate in event Solo Battles, and can be completed by challenging Step-up Battles, or indeed any other battle.

To challenge event battles, players will need to use event stamina. All players will start with 5 event stamina when they first log-in to begin the event. Event stamina can be recovered over time, regenerating at a rate of 1 stamina every 12 hours, or by using event hourglass items. These event hourglasses can be acquired by completing battle tasks for each of the event battles. Event hourglasses earned in previous drop events can continue to be used in this event.

Premium Pass Updates
A new set of Premium Missions have opened up for Premium Pass holders, offering more opportunities to unlock Premium tickets that players can exchange in the in-game shop. As usual, these missions will award an assortment of Premium tickets that can be used to purchase new limited-time items from the in-game shop, Pack Hourglasses, and Wonder Hourglasses. All Premium Pass holders will also receive a Ditto (Promo-B 12) promo card the first time they log into the game.

The new range of Mega Charizard-themed items now available in the shop include:

• Mega Charizard Y (Pokémon coin) - Premium tickets ×6
• Mega Charizard Y (playmat) - Premium tickets ×12
• Mega Charizard Y (card sleeve) - Premium tickets ×6
• Mega Charizard Y (backdrop) - Premium tickets ×3
• Mega Charizard Y (cover) - Premium tickets ×3

These Mega Charizard Y-themed items will be available for the 58 days, expiring at the end of February. The May-themed items from the previous set of limited time accessories meanwhile will continue to be available for 30 more days, expiring at the end of January.
