This is just bad: A New york representative calls Jackson, and quote, a pervert. You don't say that about a dead person, let alone a famous one. He should keep his BIG fat mouth to himself. What do you think?

Well, I guess it goes with respect of the dead that most cultures have. One of the worst thing you can do is to be disrespectful to the dead. I have no clue the origin or the logic behind it, but I respect the notion... as long as it isn't forever (and people don't forget the truth)

Though, in my opinion, calling someone a pervert is like calling someone a jerk. Its been abused and skewed so much that it doesn't tell you much about anything about the person.

I actually would have agreed with this person if he hadn't MJ a pervert. :/ I just wish he would have knew about the charitable things that MJ did.

And beside, I actually expected the coverage of MJ's death to be covered for a long time. Watching the media all the time and reading it.

And I'm trying to say this without acting like a angry fangirl.

^I guess because he, you know, killed over(not sure of the exact number so forgive me) six million Jews and other people he didn't like.

I'm pretty sure MJ didn't do anything of this scope.

So basically, we disrespect the dead who has caused other people misery and death over the people who try to help the world in a better way.

...kinda obvious.

Wait, is there a link for this? That's cold though, dissing MJ when he's already dead. I mean, how can he ignore all the contributions to the world MJ made, just because of some accusations against him?

Wow, some of those statements are a little... angry. I mean, if he doesn't like MJ, that's his problem, but that doesn't really put him in a place to moralize to the rest of us. Saying that MJ was a pervert when nothing was proven, when he's dead, and when saying anything about him won't really change anything shows more about the representative than it does about MJ.

I think the funny thing though, is that in 5 years we are probably going to find out that he rapes children. (This Peter King guy)

The man said "Its disrespectful to diss the dead".

But now we have special cases? In this case, the crucification from the media, the jokes made now that MJ IS dead (deathnote photo shops and the like), etc. Why treat him like one of the 12 disciples now?

Wait...I thought people hated Jews too. Hmm.......

No it is disrespectful, and it's even more disrespectful to the person dead. I'm not saying the two things are not compatible, both are true. If you kick over a tombstone it is taught that not only is it disrespectful of you, it's even more disrespectful to the dead person. (So a person defecating "Hitler's grave" would be considered still disrespectful of yourself, but more so to Hitler, but because Hitler was considered such a horrible person, it is excused.)

A person could try to argue that Jackson is such a horrible person, but to do so is foolish as it was never proven. People are notorious for doing that, and if that is the case, we don't need a legal system, just throw stones at who ever you like.

I'm not sure why this is, but it's true to many cultures. It's not like this is news to anyone really...

What an ASSHOLE. This guy's statements pretty much amount to libel, since nothing was really proven (and I suspect the "child molester" accusations were a grab at money in the first place), not to mention it's clear this guy is taking advantage of a death to get in the spotlight.

That's the worst kind of attentionwhoring.

While I think people out of respect ought to keep their moths shut on the matter for a while, the child molestation thing has a few things that don't add up. However, it's better to leave the argument for a later time.

"The evils that men do live after them. The good is oft interred withing their bones."

Actually, I kinda agree with this NY guy.
