It was Monday, August 13th. The time was around 10:00 a.m. and the gates to Newfound Academy had finally opened. Students from all around the regions were sent on trains, which had now arrived. Students were now boarding off of the trains and headed through the gates. On the school grounds, there was a fountain with a Pokeball and a stone Ho-Oh figure on top. Water was spouting from the Ho-Oh's beak. The grass was a lush green as there was a large oak tree to the left of the walkway.

Sixteen Year old Luna Hunter had gotten off of the train, and was carrying her luggage. Her normally curly hair was put in a high ponytail due to the blistering 90 degree (Fahrenheit) temperature and cloudless skies. Her cheeks were getting red due to her not used to moving around so much. Back in Sinnoh, she would've been confined to a chair and reading. Sweat rolled from her forehead and down her cheeks. She felt her lime green tanktop and denim shorts starting to cling to her clammy skin. To be fair, Luna figured she looked like a hot mess due to the sweat ruining her makeup.

"Sheesh," she grumbled to herself, "I didn't realize how out of shape I really was. I need to work out more."

Meanwhile, there was another student ahead of Luna, and closer to the fountain. Her piecey, middle back length, auburn hair was dancing slightly as she had a slight bounce in her step. She had a carnation pink tanktop, and denim short-shorts. She was wearing white tennis shoes as well. She was carrying her luggage with ease. She saw many other students about, but didn't know who to say 'hello' to first.

Zephyr exited the train with his sister, feeling the heat beating down on him. Back in Fortree there was always a nice breeze to be found, but here there was just heat here. He walked around, looking at the area, not paying attention to if he was staying by his sister or not.

"Oh wow that's a pretty fountain," a 16 year old teen looked at a fountain which was a PokeBall with a Ho-Oh on top to make it prettier. The teen with her long straight golden brown hair with a blunt heavy fringe going towards her solid brown eyes, was standing at 5'11" in height close to 6 ft and had a slinky tall look to her. She called it the best thing that she got from her parents, her mother's model like physique in a very poor man's style with her father's chiseled looks adding to her appearance. She was wearing a white sleeveless top with a black skater skirt along with black flats topped off with her favourite designer black sunglasses.

This teen went by the name of Lauren Carter, the youngest daughter of an investment banker and a model and a Johto native. Lauren had no problems carrying her luggage though the heat did make it more of a nuisance than it actually was. "I wish we had a butler....but no we have to be grounded....whatever like that means. I wonder what that means then again I mean I don't buy expensive when it comes to my fashion. I think that means down to Earth or something...oooh people" Lauren stopped thinking to herself as she looked at the people there.

"Hello people," Lauren squealed with her weird mixed accent voice, loved socializing with people. She saw it as her role in life to get to know as many people in the world as possible. "Oh I wonder if my hair is fine...." The teen wondered out loud to the people around her.

A young man hopped off the train, with long, black hair with bangs that framed his face. His circular glasses reflected the sunlight, as he looked over the academy. He was hearing a purple, short-sleeve button-up shirt, with a black t-shirt underneath. He was wearing his signature grey jeans and black shoes. "Ah... I can practically SMELL the good times ahead. Hahaha!" He said to himself as he strode to the grounds, his baggage in hand.

As he approached, he made his way to the fountain where the students began to congregate. He simply leaned against the less populated side, and began to examine his surroundings.

Jack Benson slowed slightly as he walked up to the gates of Newfound Academy. It hadn't been hard to get here--ride the magnet Train from Saffron to Goldenrod, head up to Ecruteak, and now he was here. He already had plenty of training in the ways of fighting at the dojo, but there was no telling what he would learn here.

Several students were already here, each one seeming to try to adjust to the new environment. One was a rather pretty girl who looked eager to socialize, if her saying "Hello, people" was any indication. For a moment, Jack's mouth opened to answer, but what the heck would he say to her? He'd never been good at talking to girls, especially pretty ones, and he'd probably make an idiot of himself if he tried it with her. Oh well, he though as he...well, he had no idea what to do now.

Malachi departed the train, carrying a large luggage case in his left hand and his music player in his right. He took a moment to take in his surroundings, first taking note of the rather impressive fountain in the center of the grounds. After a brief examination of the place, he saw the large gathering of students in front of the fountain and headed towards them. He removed the headphones from his ears and put the music player in his pocket, toting his luggage along the path to the fountain. He quickly noticed the heat today, thankful he decided for forego his jacket for now. He wore a simple black T-shirt with a band logo: Hippowdon, written in a bold font, along with simple loose-fitting dark-blue jeans and a pair of ordinary grey sneakers.

Eventually, he joined up with the other students in front of the fountain, though keeping a slight distance from them. Malachi was terrible at introductions and he figured he'd probably just make a fool of himself if he tried. He stood on the side of the fountain, content to just observe the water cascading down from the sculpture in the center.

"Your hair is nothing short of perfection." Lauren would hear a voice next to her say this, sounding quite amused if nothing else. If she cared to look, she would see that it came from a blond haired, blue eyed surfer boy who looked as relaxed as they come. "And consider us people greeted." He quipped, clearly teasing her in a lighthearted manner, one that didn't have the slightest bit of malicious intent.

"Perfection is overrated, it's no fun being perfect." Lauren responded to the voice near her without really looking at him. "Like but if you are perfect that means you aren't living, that means you'll be like not existent or existent like in a celestial level or something."

Lauren turned around to see a guy with blond hair and blue eyes, "Ooh I wonder what would happen if you add honey to ice cream," Lauren wasn't much of a thinker well from her experience here so far that would be quite on the dot. "Hello you person....you." She pointed at the guy with the blond hair and blue eyes. "Well at least that's one person, three more and I win a prize if it were a game show....I wonder what happens to the luggage. Oh I hope we get to carry it because I don't trust anyone taking my luggage unless they get paid for it and I don't pay them because mother said that those people are con artists," Lauren smiled as her train of thought stopped to refuel.

It occured to Ricky that the girl was likely fishing for a name. "Ricky. Ricky Fowler." He said helpfully at a moment. "Charmed." He said cordially.

A few feet behind this conversation, a quiet girl had her nose buried in a book. She had a graceful figure, long flowing hair and pale gray eyes that were under thin-frame reading glasses. But instead of lessening her beauty, Daphne was one of those girls who looked even better in glasses. Not that she would think so, or want others to think so. She was listening to the conversations around her but didn't choose to participate. There would be time for that and she only had a few pages left in the chapter she was reading.

Aria looked around at the surroundings that appeared around her, she taking in a deep breath as she walked through the gates and looked into the garden. "This place doesn't look half bad huh brother?" she asked, only to notice that Zephyr hadn't been following her. "Well crap," she sighed and scratched the back of her head as she pinpointed Zephyr and walked towards him.

"Hey, don't wander off on your own, I thought I told you that," Aria pointed out with a worried expression as she walked towards her twin. "Starting today it's officially just the two of us so be careful from now on as well."

"Sorry Aria. I got distracted by the surroundings. Do you think we'll be able to share a room or will we be stuck with strangers? I don't want to be separated from you. What if I get stuck with bullies like back home..." Zephyr gripped the white wing around his neck tightly, jumping a bit at someone passing by.

"Then I'll just have to beat them up like I did the last ones," Aria snickered before patting Zephyr on the back. She liked her brother and considered it her job to help him out and make sure he was okay, but there was a part of her that kind of hope that one day he'd be able to look after himself as well. "We probably will end up in different ones, but we'll still see each other, I assure you that much," she pointed out before flicking her hair back and beaming at Zephyr.

Zephyr gulped at the thought of separate places. He knew that it might do him good to gain some confidence like his sister, but at the same time he was just too scared. If his asthma acted up at all then he was at a complete disadvantage. His sister would have to come running to save him again because he was so weak. He took a deep breath, and looked around. He had to try start becoming less dependent, because if they were separated it would just be negative one him to be away from her and too dependent on her. If he could break away only a little...

He walked away from his sister, finding a girl in a green tank, deciding to talk to her as a way to challenging himself. However the moment he fully saw her, he became afraid. She looked like the heat was really getting to her, so what if she was irritable and decided to push him around. Girls were crueler than boys with words, while boys were more physical in his experience with bullies. She didn't know him so she wouldn't know about his mother, and her words couldn't get too creative could they? He could handle it by himself if she said mean things, couldn't he? He stood there, not realizing that he was staring at her as he harshly gripped his wing necklace and debated with himself.

Aria stared at her twin with wonder, part of her thought that maybe she should stop him before he got in trouble, but another part thought that she should let him test himself. She whistled softly as she scooted over to her twin and pushed him slightly so that he would take a step forward towards Luna.

"Aria!" Zephyr yelped, stumbling slightly as she pushed him. "What are you doing?" he whined.

Phoenix was in a good mood, considering he was wearing the outfit of a lord. He was staring at the window, observing the new students and even old ones. Due to this being his first year at the academy, every student was new to him. "So those will be the students I will be teaching..." he said to himself.

James was wandering through the academy, exploring the grounds where he would soon be a teacher. The very thought continued to amuse him. He had always been a jock growing up and yet he was going to end up as a professor, helping to groom young minds. The young professor was wearing a tailored three-piece charcoal suit that cost more than most cars, accessorized with a subdued burgundy tie and thin black rectangle frame glasses that made his emerald green eyes shine brighter than ever. He was also carrying a half-empty glass of high quality single malt scotch, a drink he had a weakness for.

During his travels, he came across Pheonix, having walked into the room by accident. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to disturb you." James said cordially upon seeing the man he assumed to be a fellow teacher. "This is my first day on the job and I'm just trying to get my bearings before I have to teach classes." He explained, not knowing it was the other man's first day as well.

Phoenix looked over at the man that had entered the room, sizing up his outfit. He could immediately tell the man came from wealth, much like himself. "It's fine. Seems we are in the same boat. I'm just starting here as well. It's funny actually. I never in my life thought I would end up teaching at a school, much less by who suggested it. Ah I'm Phoenix by the way. I'll be teaching breeding. And you are?"

James smiled at Phoenix's words. Like him it was the other gentleman's first day and it seemed as if neither of them had expected to become teachers. He also noticed that the other man clearly had money from his clothing and manner, but he couldn't tell if he was self-made or if it had been inherited. James held out his hand and introduced himself. "James Dalton. I'll be teaching Battling."

Phoenix took the man's hand, returning the smile. "Dalton? You wouldn't happen to be related to Stephen Dalton, owner of Infinity Technologies would you?" Phoenix knew he was right without having to ask, but did so anyways. He knew the business world and Dalton was a big name. To tack on, the man James was wearing clothing that cost more than most cars, thus he would need a lot of money to be able to afford them. Phoenix however hadn't heard anything about Stephen having a son take over so he assumed that the one standing before him just used Daddy's money and didn't work in the business field, unlike Phoenix who was doubling it with his new job as a teacher.

James was a bit surprised that Phoenix brought up his dad. By his smile, James knew that this wasn't a question but rather a statement. "Yeah, that's my old man." James said with a hint of a smile. "Since you know who my dad is, I'm going to assume you don't need the explanation pertaining to the source of the family money." He couldn't help but making a quip before looking out the window for a moment. "It's funny that you should bring up Dad because part of the reason I'm here is because I don't want to be there." He said quietly, staring pensively out the window. "Sitting in with pops on board meetings and whatnot made me realize that spending my life working in an office is not for me." James admitted, not knowing that Phoenix was pulling double duty as the future heir to a massive corporation, a duty that James himself was attempting to avoid.
