Next contest specualtion

Hey we know tht a new contest is comin up in dp123. We see kenny with his prinplup, and we know tht a machoke will be involved. Also ambipom will be dawns main partner in this contest.

I think tht since Kenny only has 3 ribbons, he'll win this one which will put him at 4, tying him with dawn overall.

So.....whos gonna win and loose??!?!?!?!?
 
I feel kinda inclined to believe that Jessie is gonna be on Sinnoh's Grand Festival, so I believe she is gonna win...
Kenny might already have 4 Ribbons, for all we know...
 
Kenny'll likely win for two reasons:

1) If Dawn gets her final ribbon this early, she'll be doing absolutely nothing in the episodes spanning the 7th and 8th Gym. That'll probably come out to at least 30 episodes, so they need the contest plot to continue in that time.

2) Kenny needs at least one win over Dawn, because Dawn will likely beat him again in the Grand Festival

.... it is a baaaaad sign when I start getting those two confused.

I'm sure the anime will pretend Kenny has credibility and give him a win, but I'd much rather have it go to Jessie just so I can have more hope of her actually making it to the GF this time around. Not sure how many times I've expressed that. But at least entering this next one and making it far enough (i.e. past the appeals) if she doesn't win would make me a little happier. And a tad less pessimistic, maybe. There might still be time. Maybe.
 
Musashi has a habit of getting ribbons in contests where Hikari isn't involved, though...
I want her to make it past the second round and lost to Kengo, to be honest.
He really needs more credibility as a coordinator.
Losses to Musashi, Hikari, AND Nozomi = poor kid needs balls.
 
Yeah yeah... kid's been a punching bag, though to be honest, that's about the closest thing to a gimmick he's ever had. Suddenly making him a credible rival just seems to reek of "too little, too late"... or something along those lines, because it's pretty much a given Dawn will get him back at the GF if he beats her this time. So that whole plot becomes the most foregone conclusion of a Contest storyline yet, and Kenny's gimmick is... bleh. I don't think I can get myself to care that the tiny semblance of his gimmick would be compromised.

Jessie'd just better establish herself somehow. They probably won't if she loses here. Have her win everything else offscreen... no-balls kid somehow becomes a bigger threat than her come the GF and I'll be like WTF.

Gotta stop depressing myself over this scenario.
 
I'm really hoping for some way for Dawn to either draw with Kenny (or have some technicality that ends the contest unofficially without deciding a winner or loser).
Part being that I don't want Dawn to win (especially if she is fighting the exact same opponents that she got her first ribbon), and I don't want her to lose because Prinplup lost to Piplup and Dustox, and losing here will be an insult to Ambipom's power.
 
Despite the obvious (Kengo will win), I'm still rooting for Musashi! xD Honestly, Hikari's rivals have all been so boring/handled so blandly I don't actually give a stuff about what Hikari/Nozomi/Kengo/Naoshi (have I missed anyone?) do in the grand scheme of things, let alone this contest!! So yeah, because Musashi is the only interesting one and I need her to go to the GF for me to not die of boredom, I want her to win, but realistically it'll be Kengo and fatso penguin.
 
The thing about this GF is, it's already pretty crowded - Dawn, Zoey, Kenny and Nando are all locks, Urara's likely, there's a chance Lila could show up, and there'll likely be a one-off rival (possibly Marina) Would there even be room for Jessie?

Believe me, I want to see Jessie succeed too, but I just don't know...

Lila is to busy to get more ribbons how could she even get into to the
grand festaval I beileve Urara is probably going to be like Harley she'll have a bigger role when they're in another region Marina isn't very likley weren't not even sure what region she's in but still it was a suprise of how they had Jackson/Vincent appeared during the johto league through more atention went to his pokemon then him, overall I predict Nando will win the grand festival

Hardly fair to Prinplup, why are only on screen characters pokes able to get stronger? Prinplup could be alot stronger than when it fought Piplup and the ep could be used to reaffirm that Kenny is a contender and not to be taken lightly....ok i have to smile after writing that cos i really dislike the character and dont know why i'd stick up for him. Its just unfair to a lot of the characters, Ash can lose a match do 5 minutes of training and come back for the win and hes then considered stronger than that opponent but if a minor character trains their main poke for months and comes back for a win its considered ridiculous. In the time since it last fought hopefully they'll have given it a whole new set of moves to play with and power up the ugly little penguin!

Whoa, man, periods are your friend.

They made it a big point in Lila's episode to show that she possessed four unexpired Ribbons, don't forget about that.

Considering Ash did nothing between getting his 8th badge and the hoenn league back in hoenn, i don't see why Dawn can't have abit of downtime this time, who knows they may want to have the GF following the Team Galactic arc on mt coronet.(assuming that happens of course)

overall i don't care if she wins or losses this time, but if she does it's probably to make up for all the losses she had early on.
 
^ That was only like a 10 ep span though. The gap between the 7th and 8th Gym, and then the league is going to be big. Especially since Brandon is coming back and they're awakening Regigigas, and then they still need to wrap up the Galactic plot.

For the GF, I think Kenny and Zoey will be the main rivals, and Nando will just be there to win the trophy ala Robert.

I just kinda hope Dawn beats Zoey, they're not that far apart in skill, Dawn almost beat Zoey in the first contest they had.

In all fairness though, *Ash* almost beat Zoey in Jubilife. :\
