When/what will the next current event forum be? I just noticed that this was still "2005 Holiday season" so yeah. Is there even a major current event going on at this moment?
 
Commonwealth Games - Melbourne in March.

I wanna see the queen baton pass my area (Sandgate/Redcliffe) on 1st Feb.
Liam prolly see his on 31st Jan in his area but I dunno eh.
 
Valentine's Day? Aww. "The Love Forum."
 
Well, I'm single and I don't hate Valentine's Day. Not to mention I don't celebrate it. But I think it's a cute idea to combine it with White Day. Unless something more relevant to a single holiday happens, I think the current even forum should be that.

Also, I'll move this to Assembly, since it's more suited for that forum.
 
The Turin Olympics will probably get their forum when that starts.

Beyond that - as others have said, we're sort of short on current events.

A single holiday (Valentine's Day) might not be enough to get a whole CE forum by itself, though I suppose that's worth some thought.

And of course, there's always the possibility of the 2006 'cane season getting off an early start.
 
Not most of the board, though a significant portion of the staff. You know, the Canadian, Australian and other (former) subjects of the Queen. (Except that pesky colony we had to get rid of a couple centuries ago.)

Personaly, even though I'm from one of the concerned countries, I couldn't care less about the commonwealth games. They're just not on the same level as the olympics :p.
 
Olympics and the Commonwealth games could possibly go into one Current Event, considering almost everyone knows the Olympics, and can be talked about for a while. The Commonwealth games can go possibly as a "subforum" of the section. Dunno...It's up to the higher access people. >:p
