The 90s Are All That (NEW PROMO) - YouTube

Due to popularity and fan feedback, Nickelodeon is going to start airing some of its old 90s cartoons, game shows, and regular shows on Teen Nick, every weeknight from midnight to 4 am, ET, and weekends from 4 pm to 6 pm, ET. The time slot is a bit sketchy, but considering the target audience the block is directed toward is predominately college age people who grew up with these shows, who typically stay up nights for this long for other activities, the timeslot makes sense. Still, it's nice to see the tapes of Doug, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rocko's Modern Life, Clarissa Explains It All, and many others being dusted off for another go.

Wikipedia entry here that gives a suspected list of shows for the block, with links confirming the data :The '90s Are All That - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thoughts?

Wow...now if MTV would just start playing music again I could finally have my childhood back. Hopefully Salute Your Shorts and Pete and Pete ARE included...though the lack of Hey, Dude is upsetting. And there were a few other lesser-known shows that I miss.

But this is great news.

I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to watch those shows again and risk ruining what fond memories I had of my childhood..

YESYESYESYESYES.

It's a real shame that I don't get the channel that this is going to be on, though. It's going to be on TEENick, whereas I only get Nickelodeon... *sigh* But this is a step in a good direction, at least.

For the first time in several years, I welcome back Nickelodeon with open arms, this is a step in a good direction. It shows they are listening

I am very excited; almost at a loss for words. Those were the "glory days" of cartoons, regardless if that's a cliché.

I can't wait!

Yes! Even more old cartoons!
Because not everyone necessarily has Nicktoons, or a tendency towards nocturnal behavior.

Legends of the Hidden Temple.

Excuase my while I set up my DVR

I'm so excited for this

I love Kenan and Kel. Best Nick Show EVER.

I also can't wait to see Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, All That, Rocket Power, Rugrats, and The Amanda Show.

I CAN'T WAIT!

- How in the world can they show Salute Your Shorts, but not show Hey Dude or Welcome Freshman! Those shows just seemed to go well together back then. Oh well, at least they're going to show original Double Dare and The Adventures of Pete & Pete.

*Thinks back to Double Dare*

Nintendo, now you're playing with power!!! lol *obviously an 80s kid*

Hm, too bad they won't show Roundhouse or You Can't Do That On Television, but they don't have the rights to YCDTOT, 'cept for the now banned Red Slime ep because it made fun of Reagan and had communist jokes and the other eps Nickelodeon owns are ones with Alanis...and she wasn't in many. *Sighs* 1979 - 1985 = best era for YCDTOT.

Welcome Freshman...THAT'S the show that I couldn't remember. I knew there was another live-action show I used to love.

Would love to see someone bring back You Can't Do That on Television. One of a few shows I wish was on the list of rumored shows, but sadly isn't.

Also wish they'd re-air Space Cases and...a show I just can't remember the name of, or find any actual evidence of anyone else having remembered it.

You could try describing it and if I can't figure it out, I'm sure I could find someone who can over at the other board I'm a member of.

Was a sci-fi show with kids operating out of (I believe) an alien ship buried under (I think) London (might be some other town, or just some random, made-up town). I seem to remember psychic powers being a big part of things. That's all I can really remember, though (probably why I can't seem to find much on it).

Could be the Tomorrow People.
It would have been nice if they had Cousin Skeeter.
Oh my goodness! I hated that show with a deep passion! And yet my cousins liked it. lol

I've never really seen any of those shows? Are they good? I'm only 15 so I most likely didn't see them.
