(mainly because of One Piece)

Not that there is technically anything keeping a Ninja Pirate from existing. (I think Kenshin had Ninja Pirates... Arr! He still beat them, Arr)
 
Eventually, this'll boil down to One Piece vs. Naruto.

Real life ninjas vs. real life pirates: Ninjas.

Fantasy ones, however, would be a tie.
 
Pirates are elegant and stylish. Plus, the fact I just downloaded a ROM pretty much makes me one by default.
 
Yarr, tis FlyingSpaghettiMonsterisim law that Pirates be better then those pansy ninjas.
 
I hate One Piece with a fiery passion that could beat Jesse's hatred for Cassidy. And I loathe Naruto just as much. Dub, raw, whatever, it doesn't matter, I hate them to the very core, gaddamnit (had to add this because I know someone will jump to the conclusion that I actually give a rat's ass about anything relating to those shows). I don't like Pirates of the Caribbean. I have never played or even watch someone play games with pirates or ninjas.

So my opinion here is based on real life things I read.

And I'm going with pirates.
 
Pirates get to do whatever they want. Ninjas must live by a code which makes their lives very boring. Yeah, pirates don't let women on to their ships but at least theres plenty of wenches on land. Ninjas were homosexual (old Japanese culture believed it was better to be in love with another man than a woman because women are weaksauce).

Getting drunk and blowing stuff up > I'm still hiding....
 
Oooh, tough call. I'm voting for ninjas, but pirates do have their own merits as well. It is very dependent on the particular ninja and pirate.
 
Uhm, Ninjas i guess. There all flippity and stuff.

But pirates are awesome and get to go "Arrrrrgh" whenever they feel like...

I guess i'll vote for ninjas.
