Nintendo announces Pokémon Farm Channel: Wii Ware to help players raise Pokémon

Nintendo announced yesterday at its fall 2007 conference the upcoming release of the [[bp:pokémon Farm Channel|Pokémon Farm Channel]] (???????????), which will be available to download on Wiis using Wii Points. Details are unknown, but players will be able to transfer Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl to the service and raise their Pokémon on their Wiis. The game is being developed by Ambrella.

I have a similar problem except I've been farming pokeys in Diamond for easy trades on the GTS. I've got boxes full of multiple starters and honey tree pokemon that can't get to the GTS fast enough so they're clogging the intake and I have to wait until a slot clears until I can make new Pokemon. I think this may be just the thing I need to clear some of that space out.

Just because theres no news doesnt mean its Japan only. Its more than likely it will arrvie when WiiWare opens up in the US

The official web site has been updated with some information (quite possibly the last scoop on this "game"). Firstly, it has been announced that the game will offer storage room accommodating up to 1,000 Pokémon. Moreover, a human character other than the Miis will inhabit the farm - the ranch owner named Yukari. She is said to be a friend of Bebe's - the developer of Sinnoh's Pokémon storage system.

It did not make sense to introduce Bebe as a substitute for Lanette when the system was hardly upgraded; giving Bebe the same treatment as Lanette (tying her to Bill as well as making her friends with the main character in a console storage system game) only makes it more glaringly obvious. For some reason, Game Freak likes to make a big deal out of repeating the same formula.

Holy crap, fer srs?! ..funny part is, I was complaining yesterday about how badly I need a Pokémon Box for my Pearl. I swear, I have like.. zero room in my boxes whatsoever. ;_;

Heheh, and the fact that I'll be a--- ...wait. I doubt that you can see shininess on this. Damn.

I think not. You forget that Bill is the only PC wizard who has appeared in the anime.

Celio (I can't see PUSA or the writers slipping by the writers of Code lyoko without changing his hair brown. Strong reslemblace is strong), Lannete (Why not?), Bebe (as of yet) and Briggete (Again, Why not?) have never appeared in the anime.

Even in the show, Bill really wasn't that much like his game self,
other then the gag with turning into/dressing up like a pokemon.

Now, I just hope they put in some better Yukari art. She seems to look nice but this pixely, shrunken artwork makes her a bit ugly. We want better quality art!

My envy for anyone with a Wii (including my own brother, who won't even let me SEE it), skyrockets even higher.

I'm glad we've got more info, though.

One day...a Wii shall be mine.

Am I the only one crazy enough to get "Kumbaya" playing in their head when they saw the circle of Pokemon around a campfire? Anyone care to translate what is going on there? Actually...a translation of it all would be awesome. I'm really curious on how it helps raise the Pokemon.

Edit: Of course now I see that a new news thing was just made for this. Dammit.

What's in the fire, I ask you?

Possibly a witnessing of a Pokemon hate crime.

Has there been an announcement for an American release? Everyone is talking about it as if there has been.

I'd still rather have an actual Pokemon box, but whatever. This better come out to the rest of the world.
