Okay, the first one of 2018 is only 15 minutes long so if you haven't seen it yet:

Personally, I'm feeling more hyped for the first two announcements. And Fe.
Though the final announcement did not disappoint either ... it's not a game I feel like playing but (having watched a full LP of it) I definitely respect the appeal.

Despite it being a Mini Direct that mostly consisted of ports, it's got me hyped. I enjoyed Hyrule Warriors and Tropical Freeze immensely, and I'm willing to buy those again to replace my original Wii U copies (especially cause the Wii U technically isn't mine). Same with Bayonetta 2.

Ys and TWEWY are also interesting. Are they both highly recommended? I haven't played either.

TWEWY is highly recommended. (I still have my copy, though the save file has lost some data since then....) It looks like this will be an updated edition of the version that was previously on mobile? On the original DS the battle system was split across both screens (bottom screen controls Neku via stylus, top screen controls partner with buttons or automatically) but the Switch is a single-screen system ... still, it will be awesome if it has an option to play the battles in split-screen format like the original. I imagine the left half would be controlled by left Joy-Con while the right half is controlled via right Joy-Con (if you've ever played The Adventures of Cookie & Cream then it'd be like that), which would also mean being able to play battles in 2P co-op.

Ys is a long-running RPG series (originated in the 8-bit era!) but I am not familiar with it.

I guess this is the time I get off my lazy behind and finally play TWEWY. I'm also pleasantly surprised to see Dark Souls getting a port to the Switch. I wonder if that means we can expect the other games to be making the leap at some point as well? I'd love for more people to experience them.

Mario Tennis Aces looks pretty good, I'll probably pick it up whenever I get a Switch. And I might consider giving Hyrule Warriors a second chance.

This was an okay direct. It showed we still have the support of 3rd party developers and people who didn’t get a Wii U will get a chance to play games like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Not much new stuff was announced, so I’m hoping for the big direct where they’ll focus on announcing completely new games soon.

Definitely looking forward to TWEWY port when I get a Switch, really love that game. Also looking forward to Kirby's new copy abilities too, of course! (artist ability is going to be my favorite for sure)

So this is just a Mini Direct? Is there gonna be another Nintendo Direct in the future?
Near future? Probably. Some people have noticed that in the past, basically every Direct Mini has been followed by a full Direct within three weeks.
