The japanese magazine Nintendo Dream held a popularity poll for the Pokémon Legends Z-A characters.

Mostly fair rankings. Some surprises here and there too.

Corbeau being 1st isn't surprising. He is a pretty plot important character, especially in the mid to late game.

Lida 2nd though. That's a shock to me. I knew the character was gonna be popular and I'm a fan of her myself but 2nd?! Wow.

Naveen being 11th feels mad funny. He was already treated kinda like the butt monkey in game but this is just adding to that. Bro got top 10 robbed from him (I would trade Jacinthe's 8th place so he could be top 10 because I don't like Jacinthe that much lol)

I think the biggest surprise to me is Taunie. 20th? Below Syndicate Grunts?! That's lowkey criminal, especially considering how high Urbain placed. Perhaps more players picked Harmony and therefore never got to see Taunie, but Paxton reached 3rd place, meaning there's definitely a lot of people that played as Taunie. Seeing Taunie in 20th is just wild.

70% of the voters were girls (mostly teenage girls) so most of them played as Harmony and didn't meet Taunie.
Also, if you're wondering why Paxton ranked so high despite that, it's because of his looks (most of the quotes on his page are about how handsome he looks).

anyway, i don't find this surprising!! along with the tumblr sexyman poll nom he's just a really fun character and i love his moe gap. very deserved!!

also lida!! i think the fact she plays as the straight man in most scenarios won alot of people over. shes a cool character.

YAYYYY while i did see some murmurings that it was her battle theme that got her this high but honest as a jacinthe apologist, i find her antics really entertaining lol. i hope she continues to be a trickster fae when she's added to pokemas.

20. Taunie

:c i know this is just has to do with who was voting on the poll but i played the male mc and really loved taunie alot. :c :c :c however i will not allow her to make financial decisions for this team!!!!

Lida is best girl, as she should be (ironic that I love her since I never been a fan of her brother).

Kinda which Griselle and Grisham were swapped, since I find the former more interesting than the latter (like I wish their roles in the Z-A Royal rankings were swapped) but, hey, can't change people's opinions.
