Nintendo DSi LL/XL Yay or Nay?

Not gonna buy it. I love my DSi, and don't really need a bigger screen to see the games. I don't see it making the games look any better as the hardware is just the same. I can see nintendo marketing it for "older consumers" who might have issues with a small handheld screen (although my grandmother has no problem with my cousin's DS phat and she is far from 20/20). The increased battery life is a nice plus, but the current DSi isn't bad at all in that aspect. Its a nice upgrade, but not worth trading up unless you don't already own a DSi.

I'm still undecided, but i think i may just wait till the price goes down or until i can find it used at gamestop everywhere, like with the DS and DSLite. After all, its even more pricey then the DSI, and it offers no new features (and no gba slot even though its bigger than the ds phat).

Also, sites like play-asia have it in, but its 20 dollars more than the normal dsi. And if that is carried over, it will be $190 dollars in the US. And that is even more expensive than the DSI in the us was.

I don't know why they would sell it for more money seeing as it's the exact same thing as the DSi just the screen size is bigger. I wouldn't get it because there is no point in paying more for just a bit bigger pair of screens...I'm not blind or something.

Old people and people who have bad eyesight say hi. Anyway I'm saying Yay. The screen looks crisper and the battery life is improved by a couple of hours so I'll be happy. Not to mention 4 inches of screen for the DS is excellent.

But b/c there is 4 inch screens they had to make it bigger. Plus they gave it a bigger stylus, saying this model was made towards the elderly. So for the elderly it's a good thing. For me, it's a waste of my money if I buy it. My original DSi is good for me. 3.25 is big enough for me.

Thats not what she said. :naughty:

Anyway, I heard that they were going to bring it over to the U.S. at the same price as the normal DSi?

can you say "Money grabbing whores"?

The PSP was released with a 4 inch screen and so why wasn't the DSi released with a 4 incher instead of a 3.whatever ...

Tell them I said hello. Also this DSi is said to have been made for older people, seeing as Nintendo wants to have an audience of older people and it's not a bad bet, plus older people would pay more since most would have more money then kids. Etc etc. It comes down to your preference and opinion, I clearly stated mine and you clearly stated yours. Good day.

You perv lol jk that was clever.

Yay, because I can get a DSi (my DS Lite screen is 'fucky'). Plus, I have bad eyesight and I love the WineRed colour it has. That and glad I haven't gotten a DSi yet.

I dunno but I'm buying this for my eyesight(I have eye twitches with my DS so I stopped playing on it) and cause the dark brown has matte ridges(like the border of the screen on the outside is matte) and the casing is gloss and the bottom screen has the same thing(where the volume buttons and such are its matte)which looks absolutely sexy.

See what I mean? Tell me that thing isn't appealing at all to you. Also might be NSFW as I have adblock and I cannot see if any scandalous bikini clad Anime girls are in any adds.

looking at the pics, the DSi XL is too big. I want something that can be in my pocket. Plus, there is nothing special about it really. The changes from the DS Phat to the DSL was it was lighter and the brightness. wow bigger screens but b/c of the bigger screens they had to make the system bigger. This is my opinion.

If my DSlite breaks I'll pick up a colour I like the most.

If this new DSi has a colour I like, then I'm getting it. If not...I don't see a point.
Bigger screen isn't an incentive for a hand-held for me.

Mine Too! But I'll wait for the true next-gen system. It's been like 5 years since the DS phat came out.

I'm gonna go with nay, because I didn't like the DSi to start with.

I don't care about the screen, but I do on the battery life lasting for some more hours. I'm going with Yay just for the battery.

Battery Life
• DSi LL (Lowest Brightness): 13~17 hours
• DSi (Lowest Brightness): 9~14 hours
• DS Lite (Lowest Brightness): 15~19 hours

I still think it should use the extra room to match the battery life with the Lite's though.

I'll buy another Nintendo handheld when they release the Nvidia powered one.

Tegra will probably make it powerful enough to run COD!
