Check the latest Top 10 results on the 10th anniversary section. Here's the results if you're too lazy.

Top 10 Coolest Parents in Pokemon

1. Norman and Caroline
2. Delia Ketchum
3. Commander Jin an Rachael (whoever they are)
4. Mr. Stone (it says "President Stone" on the results)
5. Professor Lund (from Pokemon 7)
6. Lily (from XD)
7. Samantha (the girl with the Lairon and Flareon I believe)
8. Luana (the one who basically smothered Ash for thinking he was her son Travis)
9. James' parents (I think they should change this one. Them forcing James to marry a dom is insane)
10. Brock's parents (They should change this one too. His parents were never around for the majority of his life.)

#9 was the insane one.

Coolest parent =/= best parent.

James' parents were awesome because they had multiple screws loose. Brock's parents are cool because one sells rocks for a living, and the other is completely clueless.
 
Norman and Caroline at #1 doesn't surprise me. May and Max are the only characters in this show with a nice, normal family. One is an important and powerful Gym leader and the mother is a total MILF.

Every other character has a MIA parent or their parents are total screw balls.

Unless they get dub names, don't expect to see Miyamoto or Madam Boss mentioned on any official Pokemon sites.
 
Brock's parents are cool, even though they are a complete headache for Brock. Personally, I'd put them higher up the list.
 
Brock's parents completely abandoned their family, and some of their children are infants for goodness sakes. Not to mention it seems they go on vacation and leave their children to fend for themselves as well, even the young ones.

Brock's parents are great characters, but they're terrible parents. They're the definition of "deadbeat" parents. No wonder why Brock goes nuts everytime he sees them.
 
Well, the list isn't exactly for World's Top 10 Parents either, is it? Case being:

1. Norman and Caroline - He sends both their children with Ash, trusting an almost complete stranger with them. I admit they are good enough parents, but that was a tad strange. I don't care how much he cares for his pokemon, he could have turned around and hurt both of their kids if he wanted to...which we all know he'd never do, he's too sweet. ;3

2. Delia Ketchum - She sends her ten year old son out into the world with a Pikachu that hates him. Brilliance at it's greatest. Even though it came out pretty well... XD He's still alive...then again, the same could be said of #6. She too seems like a good enough parent, except for that. XD

6. Lily - What mother sends her kid out to capture dangerous shadow pokemon, and fight a even more dangerous organization? XD With nothing more then an Eevee?

8. Luana - She couldn't even tell the different between her own kid and Ash for gods' sake! I know they looked simular, but...ya know, mother should know the difference.

9. James' parents - What kind of parents trick their kid into returning for their 'funeral' to get him hitched to some....what's the word, masochist? For someone that likes pain? Though it was kinda cool how they rose from the 'dead'.

10. Brock's parents - Come on, even though they are deadbeats, they still are pretty damn funny to watch. XD I've only seen screenshots of episodes they were in, but it looked amusing.

That doesn't seem to be an issue in the Pokémon World, though their stated logic is flawed. Max is less of a worry for Caroline travelling around than when he is at home.

Given the high likelihood of the two being half-brothers, I'll assume that they both get a lot from their father and ignore it. (Though she did quickly accept that he wasn't her son once she had got a good look at him.)

Seriously, Lola should be the Cerulean Gym Leader if Misty ever decides to leave.
