So, who do you guys think the darkest Nintendo characters are?. >:D
Please give good reasons!~

There really aren't any, in the traditional "Badass Spawn Will Rip your Spine Out That Makes it Mature and Grown Up" category, thank GOD.

I think I'll be really obvious and say every final boss of The Legend of Zelda, specifically Ganon.

He doesn't really do the rainbow sunshine thing; he's more about seeking the ultimate power and slaying anyone in his way with a large trident.

Similar things could be said about Vaati.

The Zelda series as a whole has a whole lot of genuinely evil villains.

Eh... I find that Ganondorf is kinda generic... Pokey (Porky?) was the right-hand man of the embodiment of evil. I think that alone makes him the darkest, most evil Nintendo villain.

I'd say the Star Wolf Team...

Please give good reasons!~

Redeads....

seconded. My god, how could Nintendo make something so damn creepy? And how could they turn the Gibdos from previous games into a palette-swap of such enemies (the first time I saw those mummies in OOT, I wasn't expecting them to act as such T_T)?

I need to play more Fire Emblem (and Famicom Wars for that matter). Paths of Radiance has been my only one so far. Nonetheless, I'll say Ashnard, and...

medallion-possessed Greil (if anyone still denies Nintendo to be violent, I dare them to look at that scene of him stabbing his wife and tell me otherwise). Possibly Volke as well.

Though I'm willing to bet a more experienced fan of the series will manage to top all of these.

Everyone expects me to mention Kefka...

...and by gum, I'm not about to disappoint! Sure on the surface he doesn't look so bad, he's a jester for pete's sake! But then you get into *why* he's happy all the time...he gets that glee from indiscriminate slaughter. And with the body count he racks up in the game, he's got enough built up to laugh for a solid year. Which is pretty much what he *does*.

Porky is the worst (and by worst, I mean best) villain I've seen.

He poisoned an entire eco system by destroying the wild life by turning them into chimeras, turned the peaceful life of Tazumili Village into an economy. Before, everything was free. Because of his meddling with the animals; Hinawa (Lucas and Claus' mother) was killed. Claus went to avenge her and was also killed. Porky turned Claus into a cyborg and forced him to fight Lucas. He took Jeff's father away from him.

But obviously if you hate him this much he's obviously a perfectly written character.

Ah Pokey, I had a hard time deciding who should beat him down for good in his boss fight in Brawl. I opted for Ness... rather, I was forced to use Ness since he KO'd Lucas :x

anyways, my vote:

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING HOLY CRAP THEY GOT EVA IN MY KIRBY

How about those nasty things that mob you in that one room the first dungeon of Wind Waker?

I remember being in there, trying to get to the other side, all "this is gonna be easy" and then the little monsters come out, and I'm like "what the crap?"

Creepy little bastards.

Thirded ...

God, while doing the Adventure mode for Melee, the Redeads came and sucked the life out of me. I was like, "OMG LINK RUN AWAIIII!"

But I was only 10, although it doesn't make too much of a difference. Yet, I'm still deathly frightened of those things. So much nostalgia.

Wind Waker Tingle because he's a depraved man that captures castaways then makes them toil under his all seeing eye.

Actually, I thought everything about Majoria's Mask was creepy, Skull Kid, Tingle (but not really, lol), the Moon, The Happy Mask Man! (Seriously, he gave me the creeps). Redeads are always creepy though, even in Wind Waker they gave me the creeps... more so than OOT actually because they had more realistic animations and had Resident Evil Styled Placements with the lightings in some cases.

I think every series has their big evil a-holes, or creepy villains though.

Pokemon has it's Deoxys, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina,... actually almost all the DP legendaries are pretty creepy in a "I'd be seriously overwhelmed in a more real situation, sort of way.

Of course, Pokey, like everyone said. Honestly when you first start the game I don't think anyone expects him to turn as evil as he does.

Metroid, obviously, besides the different kinds of Metroids themselves, there are a lot of intimidating foes and bosses in the games.

Also, lolz, yeah, that thing from Kirby 64. The final boss, Eva looking thing was creepy. It didn't necessarily seem out of place... but really in a world were everything is pretty cute, it seemed surprisingly creepy.

ironically, while I won't disagree that Majora's Mask was easily one of the darkest entries in the Zelda series, I found the Redeads to be surprisingly amusing in that one. You just slap on a Gibdos Mask and watch them dance. They're so friendly, they don't even care if you slash at them or kill their comrades in plain sight. XD

um... aren't we talking about Nintendo's 1st and 2nd party games in this thread?
