Wow, the Japanese sure love their Nintentendo handhelds. ^^

Though I notice two Pokémon games and two wi-fi games, which is probably a large influence on that.

Didn't Japan only get Mario Kart DS this week or something? I heard somewhere something about it being put head to head against the release of the 360, but I can't remember where that was, or if they meant it was actually launched directly against the 360 or not.

Speaking of which my mom won a free PSP buy getting a football question right. Over £300 ($500) worth of goodies in all, lmao.

Wrong thread to boast about it though I suppose....

What happened to all the GameCube titles?

Nintendo generally Pnwz0rz the Japanese charts. 8 is one of the highest counts, but it's certainly not the first time they've reached it. I think they had 8 a month ago when Mysterious Dungeon was released.

Although this being the week before Christmas - new releases are geared towards the Western market as they buy the most EA crap. A strong showing in the Japanese charts at this time of year is just an indication of how Nintendo can juggle Western and Eastern markets well.

Even though they're STILL complete dicks to Europe half of the time. (Still, an improvement is something on even just 3 or so years ago)

Oh by the way I didn't get that PSP in the end, the company didn't contact the company who was meant to be giving it etc. Bit of a mess but I'm contemplating getting the DS anyway for the fact that it's also cheaper.
