Nintendo has officially acknowledged two glitches in the newly-released Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Both glitches allow the player to enter no-man's land. The first glitch may occur when going to the second floor of a Pokémon Center, and the second glitch may cause players to corrupt their save state. Knowledge of the second glitch spread quickly after the discovery that it is possible to go to places requiring special items not obtainable in-game.

Isn't it ironic that the recovery program will be distributed to DS Stations? After all, it is the knowledge that the three promotional items are programmed to be unlocked by some other download method pertaining to the anime movies (apparently a GBA cartridge not for personal use, as was done earlier this year with the Ranger movie promotion) that makes the second glitch so appealing.

Basically, the first events for Darkray, Sheimi and Arseus will most likely be much of the same as 2003's Jirachi promotion. After that, those Pokémon (as well as Manaphy) will share the same fate as the third generation's Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys--the DS Stations and soon enough WiiConnect24 can serve as more accessible means of their distribution, but will they?

Do you think these glitches will be repaired before the game is translated and released elsewhere?

Thankfully, neither of these glitches is all that damaging either. While it's possible to set them off, they're fairly easily recovered, so long as one doesn't save, and it's fairly difficult to set them off accidentally most of the time.

You can't ask for Pokémon you haven't seen, so it would be rather difficult to get it off the GTS.
