Nintendo announced today it will voluntarily exchange 3.2 million Wiimote straps following injuries and damage caused by strap breakage. It also announced the recall of about 200,000 AC adapters for the DS and DS Lite systems in Japan, because they may overheat and cause burns.

I'd like to add that the term "Wiimote" is in no way official...it's always called the "Wii Remote" in all the official literature about the product.
