Nintendo WFC Issues

My DS is having a problem.

My parents can't afford broadband Internet access, so I, like others in my situation, have to take my DS to McDonald's and use the Wi Fi there to do my Mario Kart and Pokemon trading. However, lately, whenever I try accessing the WFC, something weird happens. The bars at the top will stay for a while, then disappear, then come up, then disappear, and I get an error message.

So, is this problem related to my DS, as I fear, or does McDonald's no longer serve as a Nintendo WFC hotspot (which means I'm REALLY screwed?)? (Yes, I go to the ones with Wi Fi.)

Hmm that's weird. Maybe you could talk to the manager at the McDonald's?
Or try to "find an access point" by going to the NWC settings.

When that happens to me, my router is being really slow. So maybe check back to McDonald's later?

When there is an error, Your DS usually displays a code in which you may enter into nintendo.com and find the reasoning behind what had happened.

That used to happen to me a lot. I don't think it's your DS because mine works fine now (aside from having a smashed screen that's being repaired) at home, and still does that sometimes at McDonalds, exactly the way you described.

As for the cause, I'm not sure. I have a suspicion that it is being interfered with by other signals. I've noticed that when it happens, there are people around using laptops, PDA's, mobiles, etc. Although, it has happened when the place is virtually empty and I am seemingly the only person using the hotspot.

So try it at different times of day to see if it works under different conditions. Also, I've had my Wi-Fi USB dongle work perfectly with Dial-Up. I'm pretty sure it may have been a fluke or an error, but still, if you can, just try it.
