OK, i have Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector so that I can connect to my DS to Wi-Fi because my main internet is not a wireless one.It is plugged in my PC via one of these USB cables.
The thing is, I have to hold the thing in the air if I want it to work. As soon as I put it on a surface (my hand, desk, floor, bird's cage), it stops emmiting signal. I even tried sticking it to a wall with some duct tape, and it's the same.
It's not directly plugged into my computer because it doesn't emmit signal in that case too.

I'm not sure if you are able to do this, but you might want to take it to the store where you got it from, or temporarily send it back to the website you got it from, and see if someone can fix it and/or find out what's wrong. Either that, or get a new USB cord.

None of this worked, so I called an PC expert to tell me what's wrong and it turned out that my computer's USB port was half broken. Thanks anyway.
