I just got one today and I can't install what needs to be installed. I have visited the site, no help there. It gets past the first half of installation, then says I need to insert the USB into my USB port.

Any ideas?

Are you running Vista 64-bit?

If so, there is no cure - return it and find an alternative.

I'm running windows XP. I'm not entirely sure which kind though.

Hm, well the Connector isn't compatible with 64-bit systems. There's a way to check, but I'm not sure how to do it on XP.

The error you described - was it nearly reaching the end when it told you the Connector needed to be plugged in? If so, that's the exact error that occurs when trying to install on a 64-bit system.

If it is, I'm sorry; trust me, I know exactly how frustrating it can be to try and get your DS connected to WiFi.

Yeah nearly at the end, about 5 bars to go. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to get it working, unless I misread and my PC won't handle it.

Don't have it in when you start, then plug it in when it tells you to.

If that doesn't help, your USB ports might be either too old (USB 1.0 can't handle high data transfer rates) or just dead...

I tried it on my other computer that I just got back from the shop, and it works! Thanks for your help guys!

Um, I tried downloading the software from the website today and I'm having the exact same problem.

When I plug the USB drive in, it's saying that I haven't inserted it in the computer.

EDIT-My computer is Windows XP in 32-bit.

Did you plug it in before starting the install, or did you insert the connector when it told you to?

Tried both.
Hmm... odd. I don't know what else to tell you, besides calling Nintendo. Sorry.

Personally I don't understand why anyone would get the Wi-Fi connector when you can get a cheap router that also acts as a firewall.
