I don't know why that site is reporting that. Ash/Pikachu and TR are definitely sticking around.

Its Dawn and possibly Brock who are leaving.

How can you be so sure, have we seen screen shots yet Cyber?
 
The Japanese source for that article says nothing about Satoshi leaving and new characters. It's just the DP series that's ending.

Theres no way Ash is leaving unless they wrap up his story. The only way they're doing that is for him to accomplish his goal which at the very least would be defeating the E4. Since the new series is starting at the latest in September and the league is in July there is no way to do an E4 arc. Besides Pikachu is the mascot of the entire franchise, they're not just gonna boot him after 13 years
 
If Ash leaves, we'll miss him for 2-3 monhts then lil by lil and you'll get the nature of starting to like new cast..
 
Bullshit, Ash can't leave he's immortal, same Pikachu, the only ones who are first to leave are Dawn and Brocko

But does it make any sense to take something like "Satoshi, Hikari, Takeshi, the end of the three traveling together...?" and make it so that Ash is leaving forever.

Or even the fact the site say the DP series is coming to an end. Unless they have some inside information we don't know (which is unlikely in my opinion, since at such a critical juncture they had better sure as hell make sure they decide when information is revealed and not let some rampant "website" reveal everything.) they're just using some comment as the basis for their story that Ash is somehow not coming back.
 
Before this thread gets closed, I would like to mention that in that Pokebeach interview Hidaka laughed his ass off when he was asked if Satoshi and Pikachu would be replaced. :p *shot*

He could have became a fronteir brain. That would have wrapped him up nice. Also, characters do not have to be wrapped up, it could be like in Yugioh GX where Jaden was just riding in the Desert, awaiting more. Ash could be doing the same thing, losing to the E4 Aaron, and then we learn he will continue trying to beat them, but we do not see him. We skip ahead 20 years, and we are at Black and White.
 
I'm not for this but Jigglypuff used to be a huge mascot but it rarely makes appearances now.

Red's Clefairy has never made an appearance in the anime except for that very brief cameo in the movie during Lights, Camerupt, Action. He means the Jigglypuff that followed Ash around Kanto, OI, and Johto

Wow, this news is spreading like wildfire.

Definitely seems like a case of misreading the source for the most part.
 
I think there confusing Ash with Dawn.
Dawn's the one who's gonna leave, not Ash.
Ash will be here till the series ends.
Don't know about Brock.
 
No brock is leaving to be replaced by the Gen 5 boy who is a Pokethlete.
 
i don't see what's the problem with him leaving.

prue died back in charmed. who knew it would happen? she got replaced by paige, so... they could do that. they could replace ash with someone else.

umm... what else... the digimon cast got replaced... but yeah, even misty got replaced and she was one of the main characters. . .

but anyways, they can't just keep the same characters every generation. it'll go on forever and it won't make any sense when the 10th generation starts... will ash still be 10 years old? will he still be a *regular* trainer in hopes of becoming a pokémon master? :lol:

it's ridiculous! they can't go on forever lmfao
