No third place for Ash

In the lily of the valley conference Ash made it to the semi finals. He lost. Will he get third place? No there is no battle for third. I don't know there was three silhouettes in the indigo league so I was kinda expecting Ash to stand on the stage. I don't know if a battle for third is common in single elimination tournament cause I don't like sports but Ash should get some swag or prize money, you know.
 
Well I think the only prize for winning a League in the anime is a Trophy like Tobias was holding when he won at the Lily of the Valley Conference, But because Ash hasn't one yet we just don't know if the Trophy is the only prize.

Yeah but why didn't Ash get a third place trophy other then their was no fight for it.
 
It's a show that has a main demographic of children who wouldn't really think about that, they'd see Ash lose and that'd be it, and first and foremost they would have been into September having to have that battle with the games out the same month.

Well everything was planned they could have scheduled it in.
 
Not every tournament has a Semi-Finalists match to determine 3rd and 4th place. If memory serves me well, not even the official Pokémon Video Game Championships events do.

Ash just got "Top 4". Pokémon Trainers aren't as hell-bent on their egos as some people are that they'd want that extra place up.
