No Pokemon artwork again (or at least what I consider Pokemon), but I still stuck to at least something. In reference to the subject header, the artwork all has black in it, and in slightly more than normal amounts.

"We are Three". Another www.deviantart.com contest entry. Inspired by nothing better than my favorite girls, Beat of the Rising Sun, and the idea behind the contest. Of course that doesn't excuse the, looking like junk portion of the picture. It's back lit, bold, and black. I must stop using dark colors, everything is getting darker.

Greedness (copyright ThePiachu) hunting little Mewblade and Iustitia. No joke about dark. Umm, inspired by a dream, nothing but the best inspiration (and the scariest). First time I used three pictures of my own in one.

Hydra Blue, dragon form. Too lazy to draw a Gundam, drew this instead. It's like the transport form of a thing (Gundam) I made up and it uses water pressure as an attack form. (The first person to tell me how ineffective that is in space, will die.) Anyway, lots of lines, I like the colors personally.

That would be it, basically. *Too lazy to show the hands, or two shots of people.* Criticism is appreciated, comments are too, but both is a nice combination, but I'll still appreciate the criticism more but... Err, now I confused myself. *Sweatdrop*

Ye gods, a VLK art post with less than five images? I'm stunned. o_o

We Are Three>> Oh, I like this. With their poses, and the backlighting, it gives the picture a sort of heroic look (or, at least, a feeling of determinaton). The coloured highlighting is very nice - you can see the important details on the charatcers, but it doesn't go against the back-lit shading. Spiff.

Greedness, Mewblade, Iustitia>> That yellow thing freaks me out, yo. *laugh* I really, really wanted to use the phrase "Big Brother is watching you" when I saw it at first. *_*;;

The detail in the lower left corner is hard to see, though. Well, Mewblade is, anyway. But I'm assuming that was the point. ^^; The composition is very nice, though. It's very different, seeing Mewblade with such sad-looking eyes...

Hydra Blue>> Wargh. I love this. I agree that the colours are lovely, but I'm rather taken by it's design. It doesn't lose the feeling of being a machine, but it also has such a fluid, natural-feeling pose. And the shading/highlighting follows the curves so well...

"We are Three" Reminds me of some kind of movie poster, I like the idee. The darkness of the picture could look really great, but I'd sugest you put in some more spots of light, since darkness can't exist without light (or is it the otherway round?), essecially Mewblade could do with that. Or give her a bit of purple shaft. Oh, and Mewblade's feet seem somewhat to big to me, but I'm not familiar with the proportions of your Mewthree's

Eh, yes, the picture's dark (the style I'm talking about), but the shading makes enough light to make things still clear, except for the corner with Mewblade and Iustitia, you barely see Mewblade, since's she's black herself. I like it how the pictures merge, with the transarancy effect. And is Iustitia blind or something? Her eyes look really strange, and she has a kind of expresion that fit's with it. (well, I acctually know someone who's blind and she reminds me of him) I loove seeing a protective Mewblade *is obsesed with VLK's Mewthree's*

Hydra Blue, dragon form I agree with Kauri that it really looks like both a machine and something that's moving natural. There's really a snake-like dragon in it. I like the color(ing) of it, and it comes really nice out with the background.

We are Three: This is my favorite of the 3 pieces. I love the darkness effect on their bodies, like they're coming from the outside. That's why I suggest you to add some kind of background, like a door where you can see the light source. The only thing I dislike about it is the black blurry things under your characters. Overall: a great pic.

Greedness (copyright ThePiachu) hunting little Mewblade and Iustitia: Greedness expression reminds me of Freeza from DBZ... I don't know why. ;; I agree with Flare-Espeon about Iustitia, her eyes look like she is blind. I love the expression in Mewblade's eyes. However, the pic looks way too dark in some places, but that's just my personal taste. The text should have been made in another color, because I gets lost in some parts (i.e. Iustitia's head).


Hydra Blue, dragon form: It looks awesome. I love the background, because it has this realistic feeling. The creature is really well done being a mix of a beast and a machine.

Thanks for the comments. *Laughs* Funny phrase. Umm, I know I must apology for my poor choice of placing the face view pictures. Black on black never works... But yeah... it's stuck like that now. (Dang me and my deleting of files.) And Hydra Blue, I have no idea why the pose/design is considered interesting, but it's been mentioned a lot all ready. I'm curious about it.

Flare-Espeon: I just make it easy on you guys. Too many pictures drive people mad.
*Reads, and is confused* Well, technically light can't exist without darkness, based on how everything about the universe's creation. But umm, the proportions are likely off. Well, for Mewblade they are to some extent, then again, one of her legs is forward but still, yeah, you're right. Thanks.
I'm surprised you caught the Iustitia eye thing. Yeah, she's literally blind. I guess I rendered her eyes okay then, I was worried about that.

Kasumi Chan: I chose relatively no background and a strange shadow in order to create the more bold effect I was going for. The more to the background, the less sillohouette, also the more distracting. That is why there is little to no bg. The shadows are lame to be frank but I need some ground, even if it was only that.
For the second picture, the picture is way too dark in place, which seems like an error now more than anything. Iustitia is blind (her name means Justice, and I would find it stupid to have her walking around with a blindfold). The text... well, I didn't want neon pink or green (which would be the only two colors that would show well). The text was less distracting as is, and well... I suppose I sacrifice a lot of it by doing it the way I did. At least I know what not to do next time. Thanks.

These are really good, We are Three is my favorite. I love that shadow technique, (want to do it myself) that very cool. The detail is also very nice, it appears almost 3D. This picture is just really cool.

The second looks comic-like (I don't know if that was your goal... but...), or like a movie ad (but not a poster... weird but that's how I feel: like it was a still from a trailer ^_^;; ). It's nice, I just don't get it, it's probably because I don't know the story very well. Meh, it doesn't really matter, it still very cool. (though I don't completely understand the part next to the gold guy, it seems out of place, but I dunno, because it still seems like something should be present there, too)

Also yeah, lol, Hydra dragon looks a lot like a gundam to me (mixed with that yugioh card). I would go far enough to call it Gundam Dragon, but it's cool. Also for some reason it also reminds me of the power rangers, when they call their zord(geez I hope that's the name) and it comes running towards them while the bad guy waits to fight peacefully. ^_^;;

The style is kindof different than I usually see, it feels kind of hip-hop-ish. Almost like graffiti art, or what you'd find for sale on a shirt at a Mr. Rags or something.

I kind of didn't like the space back as much as other bagrounds, but that is probably just my personal thing. It just seems too "out of this world" with all of the galixies and quezars in the back, it seems to active for space. But like I said, it's probably just me.

All in all I think they are very good, and in this case three pictures are great.

Umm lets see, second picture... Well, it has a plot, kind of vague at best like some things I draw. The thing next to the golden Mewtwo... is a door... I'm so sorry, I suck at doors!
Hydra Blue is Gundam inspired. Gosh, you mention Power Rangers and their various Megazords (well... they must be zords when they're small...) and I'm getting flashbacks. I use to be a big fan of that show. Although agreed on the background being too active.
