Non-Crap Reward for Finishing Pokédex

You know it's true and you know it's stupid.

So, what should the ultimate reward for completion of the Poke'dex be?

I'm guessing some kind of alternate form, some kind of item to make EV/IV stuff easier, or maybe even *gasp* a poke'mon only obtainable once you unlock everything else in the Poke'dex.

We're discussing a non-crap reward for finishing the poke'dex. This would be about the next game - no?

Perhaps I am incorrect.

Anyway another idea is that you could make one poke'mon of your choosing shiny.

It seems like a good thread :3
There have been just so many threads that get locked quickly for one reason or another.
Anyways one reward like you said would be to get maybe a shiny Pokemon. Like a starter. The pokedex getting completed is a big thing so it should get a reward.

If you got a free pokemon it'd probably either be uber, banned, or incredibly weak.

I don't know if that's necessarily a bad thing. At that point you've already beaten the game senseless. If it's an uber or banned poke'mon, at least it's a fun reward for casual. If it's incredibly weak...well, I dunno. Really it would be more satisfying than "good job thanks," that's just really depressing.

IMO you should get one of the eight (or however many there will be in generation V) event pokemon.

Except to finish the dex you would already have to have seen or gotten the other mascot. Granted, there may be something in game to cover for this, but if you already have to trade to get these entries anyways, you might as well trade for the mascot.

The accomplishment itself is the greatest reward you can ever get. The fact you have dexed every Pokémon is the reward, the certificate only recognizes that fact. Why else would you go about finding every Pokémon these days anyways?

Which if the case of HGSS, doesn't really work, but I don't really like this idea. I would better like a special location only available after completing the dex, then the area you visit has say lv100 pokemon roaming it or something

Nya is right. It's going to be an accomplishment just getting all 600 plus pokemon.

I like competitive poke'mon battling.

This is what I think they should go do: QQ about it, it's no different than Arceus.

GF has shown that pokemon wise it doesn't care about the metagame. Say this pokemon has a bad typing, or bad stats, or a useless ability, or a bad movepool. Then all of a sudden this gift pokemon from the creators themselves gets shelved.

It doesn't even have to do with the number. The fact you completed your dex is the reward, not the certificate.

I don't get why you people want something more. Just makes you seem greedy about it, wanting more. If you don't like the reward (the complete dex or the certificate), then just don't fill your dex. Simple as that.
