Why does everyone hate normal types? they are a great type return has massive damage if you love your pokemon :3 & they have fantastic movepools... So why's everyone hate them?

Actually my favorite pokemon is a normal type. Linoone. And Delcatty is my 3rd favorite.

Maybe everyone hates them because of the fact that they don't cover a huge range of types, and that they're resisted by 3 (Rock, Steel, Ghost).

Wait, people hate Normal types? Really?

Oh well, must be because they don't hit anything super effectively and are resisted by Rock, Steel and Ghost types.

Personally, I think that Snorlax, Miltank, Tauros and Kangaskhan are awesome Pokemon, so I don't really have a problem with the Normal types.

And let's not forget that Arceus is technically a Normal type too.

You know, ignoring that some normal types actually learn a wide array of other types of moves that more and make up for that.

A lot of (but not all) Normal-type Pokemon are very basic, not-super-powerful Pokemon you get near the beginning of the game. They have no type advantages (other than not being affected by Ghost) and they have a few disadvantages.. I like Normal-types though because some are actually powerful and/or cute and they can learn a lot of good TMs.

Ah, yes, forgot about that. I was referring to Normal-type moves.

I think that people don't like Normal Pokemon that much because some of them have really insane movepools, but lackluster stats (like Clefable and Lickylicky).

And Steel type moves have shit coverage, but who takes points off for that when they have massive defenses?

I'll agree with people hating normals like ratatta, dunsparce, and bidoof. However, the 'rarer' nomal types such as snorlax, porygon, and miltank are awesome.

cause people are lazy nowadays and they just want to see "super effective" on the screen rather than making a tactic (that does not include copying off smogon)

I like Normal-types, because they can learn moves of other types and they often have good defenses (which I find more useful than massive speed) and just one weakness. Plus many of them are cute (Snorlax is my 2nd favorite pokémon and Furret 5th).

I certainly don't hate Normal types. My Exploud is an absolute tank! I wouldn't have beaten Red without him! Plus my Linoone in Platinum has a tendancey to pick up TMs, Rare Candies and evo stones on a regular basis.
Also, they can learn a wide variety of moves, and only have one weakness. What's not to love?

Some normal type Pokémon, such as Slaking, Tauros, Clefable, Snorlax, and Arceus are popular and powerful.

I don't know where you came up with the idea of people hating normal-types. They're awesome! My favorite is Porygon-Z.

normal types are hardcore
if u played the original staduim and a chansey/toraos/clefable showed u would be screwed

I luv normal types! Of course, as you can tell, my favorite Pokemon is a normal type, Aipom. I like Sentret, too. But I usually only catch 1 of each type in my heartgold game and normal types arent usually included.
