in Generation I, Weedle was available in both games
but you were more likely to find it in Pokemon Red, while Caterpie was more likely to be found in Blue version
same goes for the Nidorans

can anyone provide a full list for all four Generations of Pokemon that, while not exactly Version Exclusive, had a higher chance of being found in one game rather than the other?

I couldn't find a list like that, so I went through the Gen I Pokemon and did a list of my own:

Code:
Pokemon | Red | Blue
------------------------------
Caterpie | Uncommon | Common
Metapod | Uncommon | Common
Weedle | Common | Uncommon
Kakuna | Common | Uncommon
Nidoran F | Few | Common
Nidorina | Common | Few
Nidoran M | Common | Few
Nidorino | Few | Rare
Grimer | Rare | Common
Koffing | Many | Few

I can do lists of the other Generations later if you'd like.

Don't double post.

That article has what you want. You seem to be looking for the chances of Pokemon showing up in each game, well, from that list of Version Exclusive Pokemon, if you look at each one individually, you can see where they'll show up and how much of a chance they have to show up as well..

Your response was quite rude considering all we're doing is trying to help you.

Read the article, it has the info you want.

sigh...

I don't how much clearer I can make this:

I know what Pokemon are absent from which games

I want to know which Pokemon are present in both games of each generation, but are more or less likely to appear in one of the other

Actually, that list isn't going to get him far. As you might notice, both Nidoran evo lines are completely missing from there because they appear in all the games, but their rarity is different in each. And that's exactly what Bison II wants to know.

That's what I told him to do. Each Pokemon has a list of where they're available in each game and how likely each one is to show up.

We don't have an article like that. If you want to know the rarity of each Pokemon you're going to have to look it up one by one.

THANK YOU!!

BulbaPedia has an article for every obscure bizarre ship their is, but we don't have anything for something relevant

I never even asked for a BulbaPedia article!!
I was wondering if anyone knew of any Pokemon-related website that would have this information (without having to look through hundreds of pages one by one)

I wouldn't expect to find this kind of detailed trivia in anywhere but a wiki. At any rate, the following list should be an exhaustive extension of Taija's:

Generation II

Code:
 Pokémon | Gold | Silver
--------------------------------
 Caterpie | Common | Uncommon
 Metapod | Common | Uncommon
Butterfree| Uncommon | Rare
  Weedle | Uncommon | Common
  Kakuna | Uncommon | Common
 Beedril | Rare | Uncommon

Generation III

Code:
  Pokémon | Ruby | Sapphire
----------------------------------
  Grimer | Rare | Common
  Koffing | Common | Rare
  Plusle | Rare | Uncommon
  Minun | Uncommon | Rare
  Shuppet | Rare | Common
  Duskull | Common | Rare
  Volbeat | Rare | Uncommon
 Illumise | Uncommon | Rare

Dusclops is only catchable in Ruby, and Banette - in Sapphire.

FireRed and LeafGreen deviate from Red and Green in that there is no difference between the Caterpie and Weedle lines. Instead, Spinarak is common in FireRed and rare in LeafGreen, with Ledyba being the other way around. In addition, Weezing is catchable only in FireRed, and Muk - in LeafGreen; they only had differing percentages in the original versions.

Generation IV

Code:
  Pokémon | Diamond | Pearl
-----------------------------------
  Tauros | Uncommon | Rare
  Miltank | Rare | Uncommon
  Bonsly | Rare | Common
Mime Jr. | Common | Rare
  Volbeat | Rare | Uncommon
 Illumise | Uncommon | Rare

Silcoon, Beautifly and Mr. Mime are catchable only in Diamond, and Cascoon, Dustox and Sudowoodo - in Pearl. Also of note is that rather than having differing percentages in the wild, Mime Jr. is exclusive to Trophy Garden in Diamond, and Bonsly - in Pearl.

it wasn't a double-post

they were two seperate posts containing two different responses pertaining to two different subjects

I'm sorry, one post right after the other by the same person sure looks like a double post to me.

You could have edited your post.

The information is on the Bulbapedia, as it is on pretty much every Pokémon site that comprehensively covers game information, it is just not compiled into a single list.

And, since what you are asking is for someone to provide a list of data that you could very well find for yourself with a relatively small time investment, it certainly wouldn't hurt your cause to show more gratitude that people are even bothering to try pointing you in the right direction.

EDIT: Removed the list since Unown Lord already provided one, Thanks, UL.

Ya know, for asking for the help this guy is kinda (ignore the pun) bull-headed. Dude, be glad that someone actually took the time to find it since you obviously are to lazy to surf through the pedia and find it yourself.

Oh, and the definition of a double post: two post made by the same person without any other response in between the two. Remember this.

Gen One And Two all pokemon are obtainable becaues of the mew glitch (gen 1) Egg trick (gen 2). so yea no pokemon are version exclusive. D=
