OU bores me endlessly, and I don't really like using the common UU Pokemon (read: Moltres, Dugtrio, Ambipom, etc.). So I figured I would make a NU stall team and see how well it did on the Smogon UU ladder. Fantastic results, I have lost maybe 3 times in the past week and it has gotten me up to a CRE of 1300 with about 5 battles per day. So here it is.

Parasect
Ability: Dry Skin
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Sp. Def
Item: Focus Sash
~ Spore
~ Pursuit
~ X-Scissor
~ Seed Bomb

Parasect is a very good lead for this team. Normally I can see a taunt coming from the obvious taunt users and attack in turn. If something isn't known for taunting I will use Spore as they set up or attack. With Focus Sash I live through any attack, so I will get damage in or put them to sleep at the least. If I can get Pursuit in on the opponent as they switch out from Spore, then I get bonus damage in there.

Solrock
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 Atk
Item: Leftovers
~ Stealth Rock
~ Pain Split
~ Explosion
~ Rock Slide

This was originally Miltank, until that cow got moved up to UU (the original team is now my UU stall team with Miltank (SR, Toxic, Milk Drink, Return)). So I replaced it with Solrock, as it can set up Rocks, quazi-recover with Pain Split, explode if it gets too dangerous and is actually a great counter to the ever dangerous Moltres.

Grumpig
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP/252 Sp. Def/6 Sp. Atk
Item: Leftovers
~ Confuse Ray
~ Thunder Wave
~ Psychic
~ Energy Ball

My special wall and annoyer. Parafusion for general hax opportunities. Thick Fat means that he is also a great Moltres counter and the massive bulk with max HP and Sp. Def means he can wall pretty much any special attacker while still being able to do damage with Psychic and Energy Ball. If anyone suggests Chansey, I will smack them.

Medicham
Ability: Pure Power
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spe/6 HP
Item: Choice Scarf
~ Hi Jump Kick
~ Thunder Punch
~ Zen Headbutt
~ Ice Punch

Every stall team needs somebody to clean up the mess, and who better to do that than Medicham. With the given EV's, he reaches a mammoth 480 attack, which is enough to OHKO nearly everything with a super effective hit. No real danger of being tricked either, since he is already holding a scarf.

Haunter
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk/252 Spe/6 HP
Item: Life Orb
~ Giga Drain
~ Thunderbolt
~ Shadow Ball
~ Sludge Bomb

Another one to clean up the mess, this time a special attacker. The beauty is that nobody sees Haunter coming, nor does anybody know what kind of set he will be using. He is a power house, with 115 base Sp. Atk and 95 Speed, this is why I run Timid instead of Modest. The given attacks offer very good coverage and STAB Sludge Bomb is very devastating against anything that I can't cover.

Vileplume
Ability: Clorophyll
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP/152 Def/106 Sp. Atk
Item: Black Sludge
~ Leech Seed
~ Sleep Powder
~ Substitute
~ Energy Ball/Sludge Bomb

The star of the team and the real reason why it is a stall team now that Miltank is gone. The given nature and EV's make a nearly equal Def-Sp. Def ratio, meaning he can take on mostly anything that isn't Moltres, Blaziken, Charizard, etc. Simply put something to sleep, seed them, sub up and repeat subbing. If they switch, seed again, sub up when they attack, and so on. Attacks vary, but it seems that the one I need is the one that is always not on the set at the time.

So there you have it, my NU team that fares very well on the UU Ladder. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I can kinda see your reason for including Sludge Bomb, but I can also see the use of Giga Drain (to deal with stuff like Golem). Maybe you can replace Giga Drain with Hidden Power Fighting, I suppose?

parasect isnt too good of a lead, since ambi uturns away, froslass taunts and sets p on you, moltres kills you, uxie u turns in fear of x-sissor, electrode taunts, arcanine kos you, snover ko's (with hail), and venasaur sleeps you faster. It doesnt beat most leads, and it isnt really bulky enough for stall. Perhaps quilfish is a better uu lead with spikes and some reasonable bulk:

Quilfish @ leftovers
Leftovers Poison Point/swift swim Impish
Moveset
~ Spikes
~ Pain Split
~ Poison Jab
~ Taunt / Aqua Jet
248 HP / 152 Def / 104 SpD / 4 Spe

Also, how do you plan to do damage to your opponent? You need to be able to inflict residual damge on your opponent if you want to stall them out. Your sweepers cant to everything, and your stallers can stall, but nothing else, cant do damage.
