New York's Summer Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and Battle Revolution Tournament

Ive really been dying to get a tournament together and what better place then in New York City? Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have been out since April 22nd and has been a massive seller. With the best feature to date (Online battles and trades) who wouldnt want to be a part of an actual tournament?

The unofficial Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and Battle Revolution Tournament is coming together. We are looking for people in the New York area or who will commute to the city to attend a Pokemon tournament happening around the first week in August.

The rules are simple, no legendary pokemon, no hacks.

There will be both a Singles and Doubles tournament. Played on either DS's or PBR (TV's and Wii's will be on there).

It will take place in Upper Manhattan in the community room of my building or here <removed due to advertising> when i get word back from them. Small entrance fee and cash prizes depending on where it will be held.

The tournament will be a double elimination tournament.
A double-elimination tournament is a competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament's championship upon having lost two games or matches. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only one defeat results in elimination.

A double-elimination tournament is broken into two sets of brackets, the Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket (W and L Brackets for short; also sometimes Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket, respectively). After the first round, the winners proceed into the W Bracket and the losers proceed into the L Bracket. The W Bracket is conducted in the same manner as a single-elimination tournament, except of course that the losers of each round "drop down" into the L Bracket.

You can see an example of it broken down here:

I have just created a forum for the tournament so it can be discussed easier.

Since i have been posting in different forums things might get confusing and id figure it would be easier this way.

My username there is JmaG im the admin of the forum and hopefully it helps. If your interested in the tournament please sign up and keep it alive!

I'm sorry, but this isn't a place to advertise other forums or events, I'm afraid. :( I'm going to have to ask you to put a link in your signature if you'd like people to visit your forum. As for this thread, I'm locking it for advertising.
