In today's episode Oak appeared and even mentioned Tracey (!) who wasn't mentioned for years.

It was a very minor appearance but who thought Oak would appear during the Isshu region now when we have Juniper? Maybe it's a new beginning of more old characters appearances? (= :naughty:

That's interesting. Perhaps when the actual Unova League is done with, they can bring back the pre-Gen IV Pokemon and the older recurring characters (Professor Oak, Gary, Tracey, etc.).

EDIT: Oops... I meant the pre-Gen V Pokemon. They definitely wouldn't exclude the Gen IV Pokemon.

First episode of BW had plenty of Oak and Delia and there is a new special coming which features Oak. Though Tracey being mentioned was quite a shock.

I meant that it was interesting that Professor Oak would be regularly appearing in Unova, as he hasn't in any other region (apart from Kanto), because he normally appears as one-offs.

Why would Oak even appear anymore? Ash has Juniper as the "main" professor in this region. It was VERY rare to see Oak here.

WHAT?! Well that is suprising. We now know for sure that old characters do indeed still exist in some fashion. (As i've been saying, the writers probably realized the hole they'd written themselves into and want to correct it)

Oak's appeared in the first two episodes, that Planetarium special and probably some others that I'm missing. His appearance doesn't mean anything as we've already seen him before and Tracey didn't even appear on screen.

They existed as soon as you saw the gifts they gave to Ash way back in his bedroom during the first BW episode.

I'm closing this as it's nothing new or meaningful.
