Perfect Prosecutor (DS/Capcom/??)
* A law adventure game where you act as the prosecutor.
* Main characters are Miles Edgeworth, Dick Gumshoe
* You control Edgeworth, searching for overlooked evidence and inconsistencies at the crime scene.
* New search and deduction systems are introduced.

It looks really cool, and I'm glad they switched away from the first-person perspective for investigations. I think that might make them a bit more enjoyable and allow for a bit more interactivity. It'll be interesting having a game where Edgey and Gumshoe spend the whole time together, though, because I always thought Gumshoe drove Edgeworth crazy.

I'm a little disappointed to see no signs of Apollo anywhere, though. I kinda liked him, and I'm surprised they're going back to the Phoenix Wright era.

Still, as a big fan of the series, I'm very excited for this.

This is the 5th game in the series, with 4 main series games in the 'Ace Attorney'/Gyakuten Saiban series, 3 titles in the Phoenix Wright series/saga and 1 current game in the Apollo Justice series/saga with another announced simply as Gyakuten Saiban 5 for release some time in the future.

I just got the first Ace Attorney last week and just started playing it three days ago. Totally love it. So this is what that "NEW Turnabout, NOT Trial" game is, huh? Looks fun. ^^

I'm pretty sure this is a Spinoff and should not be counted as Gyakuten Saiban 5.

It'll probably take place away from the main series story also...maybe prior to Phoenix Wright showing up even.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. This probably takes place before Phoenix shows up, it's the more plausible theory.

Having only just (as in three days ago) finished playing the first game, I know it'll be a while before I get through the other games and head into this one. It'll be interesting to see how the non-first person view will affect the investigation stages, at least.

*points to Mana's sig* That's the game I have, how far into the series is that one? And what are all the games on? If there's that many so far I doubt they're all on DS.

That image is the ending scene from the first game, and they're all available on the DS now.

I doubt that this game takes place before Phoenix Wright though, considering they'd want to show Edgeworth as a somewhat heroic figure in the game and having him forge evidence and get his witnesses to lie to get what he wants from their testimony isn't likely to fit into that ideal.

I'd say it's probably more likely to be set after the third game and probably deals with what happens to him in the seven years between Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice. (Or starts to...)

That's the first? Okay. I'll have to finish that one and then play catch up. I procrastinate a lot when it comes to finishing games so by the time I do get to the game this thread's about they'll be another new one. XD
