Hello!

Having taken a break from Pokémon recently, I've jumped back into it. I joined during the Diamond/Pearl craze and whilst I've stayed loyal to the franchise since, getting basically every main series game. I've never really gotten as involved as I did in the fourth generation. Even now, I couldn't tell you by name every pokémon I see which originated in the 5th/6th generation. As somebody who could once name all the pokémon up the 4th gen, I must admit it's bitterly disappointing.

Still, nevermind. I'm sure I'll get better!

As for the pokémon themselves, I will admit to favour fast, attacking based pokémon mainly, with generally one bulky one to lead and set up. Back in the day, I didn't even bother with the bulky one! Such was the life of a kid who didn't touch the wifi portion of his games, eh?

In real life, I'm quite interested in sports such as martial arts, triathlons and to some extent football and rugby. I'm quite the reader and history fanatic too. If you also find these things interesting, great! If not, it doesn't matter I guess.

What was your first game in the series and first starter? I personally started out with Red in 2003, chose Charmander—shortly followed by playing Silver and choosing Totodile. Awesome Pokémon I tell ya. <33 And well, it's no problem you can't name every Pokémon, at least in my eyes! There are a few I occasionally forget myself, haha. =p What sorts of books do ya read?

You got me! I used to be quite active on Azurilland and even today I infrequently pop onto there to see what's happening. I made a few friends there when I was younger and the nostalgia keeps me going back. I would be surprised if I'm the guy you're thinking of though, since I don't post much nowadays. You'd have to fish around for memories months/years old.

My first game in the series would be Diamond and my first starter would be Chimchar. Even today I have fond memories of my Infernape, despite the fact I now recognise teaching it cut and rock smash wasn't the best of tactics :p As for books, I like to read around. Right now I'm reading Making History by Stephen Fry but I'm not averse to some other fantasy ones such as the Games of Thrones and Lord of the Rings series. My favourite book (until I read a better one!) though would have to be the Great Gatsby.

I find your calling it "obligatory hello" funny, since I never actually made one of these threads... I wonder if I missed out on an important part of life here.
