Observations and Theories on the Anime

As I was watching the trailers for the new anime, I saw some delightful little tidbits hidden in there.
1. First, the obvious. Ash looks older. I don't see Pokemon making him any more than 12, if they do age him, mainly because of the audience's age.
2. Next, the theory. We all know that the female protagonist in this story is someone who knew ash when they were younger. So, does this mean that the Kalos region is very close to the Kanto region? And will there be other people from ash's past, like, oh, i dont know, *cough cough* his Father? We'll see.
3. THE CLIMAX. As we know, Kalos is based of of France, and there is even a version of the eiffel tower. In a few of the trailers, ash can be seen going up to this tower. Some of you may have noticed that little symbol above the entrance. Know what that is? Its the symbol for a pokemon gym. I"ll give you a minute to digest that.

OMG! The Eiffel tower is a gym! A GYM! If that's a gym, what do the other ones look like! And the Pokemon League! OMG! Seriously though, the gyms are going to be more epic than ever.
So, has anyone seen any other nice little sneak peeks?

The characters in this show don't age... also, we saw Ash go on the plane to Kalos right after coming home from the Decolore Islands... so no, he didn't age, he's still 10 and will most likely stay so forever

Good point. However, other shows have done time jumps before, and I wouldn't put it past the big wigs in Japan to age him despite the fact that you just mentioned. *Pokemon logic* Even if he doesn't age, he looks a lot more mature and confident, so maybe we can get a pokemon league victory this time? One can only hope.

I think Ash looks a bit older ( I just hope he acts older.) That battle with Trip and his Snivy at the beginning of black and white still vexes me. Like why use thunderbolt -_- why not iron tail?

Anyway I hope May or Misty come back but really I'm not even sure if I want that any more.

Perhaps Ash will go back to his maturity during the DP arc.

Could potentially be the worst series so far.

With only 70 new Pokemon to showcase over 140+ episodes get ready for lots and lots of filler as well as old Pokemon being featured heavily, possibly as the main Pokemon of individual eps. Don't worry us dumb fans won't remember having seen them previously in their own featured episodes.

Such a negative Nancy, aren't you? For all we know the writers will take this opportunity to spend less episodes showcasing individual species to create a more story-oriented saga, or otherwise shake up the existing formulas somehow.
