Contest Octillery vs Mantine

Who would win in a battle, and who's design do you like more? Vote now!

First up, its Mantine. The flying water kite, that has a symbolic relasonship with its opponent's pre-evoulution (Or at least, its old sprites did)

Second up, its Octillery. The Octopus that evolves from a fish. (Biology fail) However, this cannon that used to be a gun has some mighty fin suckers, that could easly grab it's opponent and drag it into the deep of the ocean..

So, who do you prefer?
 
Such a hard choice. I love them both, but I voted for Octillery. I like it's whole 'Shooting beams and stuff boom boom I'm a tank' design. And I like the Pulseman reference with it's pre-evolution.
 
I've always liked Mantine, due to high Special Defense and unique design.
 
Octillery, there's just something about that octotank that makes it so cool.
I mean, look at it's eyes. It's the Dirty Harry of Pokemon.

"Did he fire ten Octazookas or only nine?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as I'm an Octillery, the most powerful Water-Type in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, Pika"?
 
Mantine all the way. Never been a particular Octillery fan, but I've been fond of Mantine by design since GSC. Not such a spectacular battler, but great for transport. I like the symbiosis thing, too - it's a unique addition.
 
Mantine has a better design, but Octillery can learn special moves that other water pokemon that mostly can't learn. Like charge beam and flamethrower.
 
This is not even fair. Mantine's simply not fast enough and its attack isn't high enough to do much to Octillery. Plus when considering Moody, it would have to favor Octillery in a drawn out match.

Octillery wins, and I don't even need to do the math.
 
Octillery, because octopuses are awesome. I don't really like either of them, though.
 
Octillery.
I like the fact it can use moves of almost every type, even if the reasoning behind its evolution path confuses me.
Plus, Mantine look kinda dopey.
 
I like Octillery's design and I've used it more often than Mantine. I'm voting for Octillery.

I choose Octillery over Mantine because Octillery looks like he doesnt give a f*ck about anything. Looks like a pretty chill Pokemon to me.
 
Octillery for the better stats movepool, and design. It's also based off of an octorok (don't let a hungry CD-i Link find out).
 
Mantine easily
Good design, flying type, 140 in Sp.Def etc

I don't like ugly things and Octillery is one of the ugliest Pokémon ever made in my opinion.
 
I'll go with Octillery. It hits harder and has a huge movepool, even learning Fire-type attacks. Mantine is alright, but I like it less than thne rest of the Water/Flying types.
 
Mantine cause I find it cuter and I like using it more. I don't dislike Octillery though, it's alright, I'm just really indifferent to octopi in general tbh.
