I was on bulbapedia main page and it said I needed to download an ocx file from Microsoft to view any more pages, so I clicked ok when the message appeared and my McAfee said I had a trojan and got rid of it. I did not think it was the ocx add on that was needed, so I tried again and got the trojan again. Think the page is ok I am using Internet Explorer 7. Crashed once when I did not click ok to the ocx file. Usually ok, just wondered why that happened?

Youve got a virus. not from bulbapedia. This has happened to me. Whatever you do, dont download it

Yeah, sounds like something that is just tagging along to the pages you visit. I've never heard of the need to download an OCX file to view an ad anywhere.

Actually it happened on a school computer I was on, and they have pretty good security and whatever, so I wondered what happened. I would not download the file

Hm, did a little more reading. It may be the way your school forces the browser to parse the adds that pushes the download on you when ordinarily no such download would occur--either way, just hit 'no' on it. Do you remember what types of ads were on the page when this happened?

not really, but I remember there being no "no" button on the message window, only a "OK" button. I think there was "Chat with Wendingo33" ad, but I can't be sure, I have seen it a lot recent when I go on
