Of Pineco and Apricorns

Ok, we have seen that Pineco apparently lives in Apricorns trees.

Well I have a felling that the writers that did the Episode Going Apricorn were trying to make a point that Pineco were one of the main reasons why people rarely forage Apricorns in to Pokéballs any more.

For you see Pineco may boar in to the unripe Apricorns as soon they hatch, (err in the wild that is) thus preventing the nuts from developing the enzymes that are linked to the Apricorns Energy dampening abilities...

Ok, I admit that it's not that grate of a theory, however we do have insets that infest Apricots and apples in the real world, So my thinking is that Pineco could play a similar role in the pokémon world.

Hmm...well, in the anime, they made it seem like Pineco were protecting the apricorn trees.
